I need y’all to understand that it gets cold af in Coney Island in the winter time. So if he complaining about Minnesota I know that cold different 😂😂😂

This is why i like these player podcasts! Steph's thought process is like an everyday person, he was more concerned with real life then basketball. This was great to hear

I was born and raised in Minnesota. Lived in Atlanta and now live in Florida. He stated the EXACT reasons I refuse to move back 😂

As 13 year old mini wolf fan in 1999 I don’t think there are words to describe how much it hurt when Stephon left us. We battled through it though. We battled through losing KG and seeing him win one with Boston. We battled through the Al Jefferson years the real ones know that pain. We battled through the Klove, and Rubio years. If you didn’t jump off the ship and you’re still here…it’s our time.
  • Interesting to hear this. I always wondered why he left. I’ve lived in MN most of my life and probably spun out on ice like him 9 or 10 times. You get used to avoiding it or controlling it when it happens, but my heart still skips a beat every time. I can understand not wanting to put up with that.

Bro is aging backwards. One of the greatest PGs to ever do it. Real cool to hear his honest perspective on his whole situation in Minn.

Nothing is colder than Anthony Edwards in Minnesota right now. The black ice surviving Anthony Edwards.

It’s really cool to see Steph be honest, reflect on his career and be grateful.

Being from Minnesota I understand exactly where he’s comin from lol

Now that Steph thoroughly explained his reasoning for leaving MN I get it. Where you are & live is a big part of personal happiness. I'm a firm believer once you become grown you need to do what's best for you so if he wasn't happy there he should have left. You only live once a peace of mind and happiness is very important💯

Wow. I never heard Steph explain this before. I always thought it was because of a contract situation.

You can call it immature, but I’ve been there & I respect it. Grew up all my life in Ohio, and I just got sick of the winters. I spun out on black ice on a main road - that was it for me. I remember being salty that he left KG but I understand, and I’m glad he’s being candid about it.

Bro I lived in Minnesota this winter, luckily the snow was light this year, but it got down to like -35 with the wind for a week or two and when it only got back to like 28 above 0 a few weeks after, that shit felt like 60-70 I kid u not.

As a NY’er born and raised and around Steph’s age, I knew exactly why he wanted 2 get up outta there. I’ve been 2 MN once and it’s beautiful city but I couldn’t wait 2 get TF back home!! TOO damn cold!!

As a life time wolves fan. Good to finally hear the story out from Marbury. I can now understand the situation better. it was always a huge question mark outside of all these rumors going around. I forgive you, thank you for still saying you have love for us.
  • @l.r9655
Steph and KG is 1 of my biggest what ifs in basketball.

great reminder that people are people. Young people are young people. Growth is real. I love this clip. I was in MN loving that squad back then. I'm 47 like Steph. I was mad back then and this does actually help me understand. He's grown and is very grounded. All love.
  • @ZH-uz4cu
Yeah bro I was born here, love it here, and the winter still fucks me up sometimes I get it man
