I have had a multi nodular goitre for two years and have scary swallowing episodes almost daily , so tend to live on soft foods and smooth soups .My mother had one as well and some nodules turned cancerous , yet my GP doesn't seem concerned. I have blood tests relayed to both my thyroid and parathyroid glands twice yearly and had an endoscopy down my throat ( horrible experience ) and fortunately it showed nothing nasty ,but that was done not long after the thyroid scan which had found the goitre which is growing inward and therefore affecting my swalliowing . I may have to have goutre and thyroid gland removed which terrifies me , to be honest. Has anyone reading this had that surgery ? My voice is very hoarse.

Its me J3n again & her other YT channel Save Your Thyroid cover multiple treatment options including Radio Frequency Abation, Laser Ablation, Cryoablation, & recently, placing targeted embolisms in the blood vessels feeding the different lobes of the thyroid. Most of these leave the thyroid largely intact & functioning. They also can tell you if they know of a facility offering these (& the ones I can't remember) in your area.

I would take it out in my opinion. To simply monitor for it potentially grow and become problematic seems not a good idea. The burden of having to take life long thyroid medication post thyroidectomy is a small price to pay. We take medication 💊 for blood pressure, diabetes etc. The risk of surgery is extremely rare.

Your voice does not change unless your surgeon messes up your vocal chords

Thx a lot. My family member (aged 55) got 2cm thyroid nodule diagnosed. Heart beats normal & ECG normal. Doctor said not much to worry for now. So, we researched and made some hypothesis. One month later, it disappeared. What we assumed and did Leaky gut, autoimmune reaction. We did ABC. A// Stopped gluten. Stopped oatmeal. B// improved digestion, eg some ginger in meals C// Gut health and healing. Bone broth, the good one. Probiotics eg Yakult, and G-Niib. Every situation is different. FYR only.

Nodules are caused by iodine deficiency find a doctor or nutritionist who understands this like Dr brownstein and follow their protocol.
