Safety Third is a weekly show hosted by William Osman, NileRed, The Backyard Scientist, Allen Pan, and a couple other YouTube "Scientists". Sometimes we have guests, sometimes it's just us, but always: safety is our number three priority.

Its like Vsauce has an aura that makes everyone around talk about esoteric stuff, I love it lol
  • @SheenylHassan
This has to be one of the most thoughtful episodes of Safety Third so far.

Vsauce was the first channel I discovered, that literally changed my life. I was homeschooled and brought up religiously. I am also dyslexic so reading was kinda out of the picture for me. And no one ever told me that people knew how stuff worked. And how he linked things up moved from topic to topic is exactly how my brain works. I am now getting my PhD in molecular biology, and it does have a large part because of people like Michael.
  • This is the least unhinged episode. You can really read the respect they have for Michael.
  • @Simrasil_
Michael feels like an ethereal being, he's always been there, he always will
  • William: I'm proud of it [the podcast] Nigel: gives a worried look to the camera

I was taking a poo in the grocery store bathroom while listening to this during my shopping experience. When I finished my poo I left to return to my cart but the podcast jittered in and out of my headphones until it was gone. Astonished, I reached for my phone to see what was going on. To my surprise I had left my phone on the toilet paper dispenser. Thanks guys for this podcast as I would have otherwise left my phone in the bathroom.

Michael really commands a room, at 14:38 he appears in frame cross-legged on the couch and within the next 30 seconds everyone else follows suit. I wonder about the psychology behind it or if it’s just coincidence.
  • @Early__
This feels like the most professional and proper episode on this channel 😭
  • @PatricHerrera
All that's missing is Kyle Hill and we've got the entire cast that fueled my interest in general sciences.
  • michael should totally do a countdown of "the 20 craziest disney princess pictures" as a mysterious inexplicable one-off on his main channel that is never referenced again

22:45 this “finding” effect is something I’ve experienced first hand. Way back in late may/early June of 2021, I told a couple friends to post memes about me (my YT channel) but explicitly told them to make it seem like they found me, and to not make any mention at all of them having any personal relation to me. They ALL got several thousand upvotes, and kickstarted the growth of my channel.

I still have a very difficult time to accept I'm only a year younger than Michael. He has too much of a father figure vibes to only be in his 30's.
  • @Geordiecrafts
I never really noticed, but Vsauce rarely uses filler words. No "um, ah, like" etc. Hes super well spoken overall. This was a such a good friggin episode, the whole conversation was so entertaining 👌
  • @Roset595
I just love how William tried to end the podcast twice but they got distracted and kept talking for 20 more minutes lol
  • 14:39 Michael sitting cross legged 14:48 Kevin probably noticing Will and Nigel crossing their legs too 14:55 Now they're all sitting in crossed legs like Michael.
  • @juss1642
This is so good I hope Michael returns to the podcast, and you can name the 2nd one like "Michael 2" and the 3rd one "Michea" without the last letter just to be different from the first two.
  • HOLY SHIT YES THIS IS ALL I EVER WANTED THANK YOU WILLIAM AND ALL OF SAFTY THIRD
  • @polybius2282
Fun fact, there was no sound added to this video, when Michael looked at the camera he telepathically beamed the music into the microphone.
  • @SenorEscaso
The podcast is too normal when Allen is missing
