Today, I want to share the best food for inflammation.

This food is powerful for any type of inflammatory condition, autoimmune disease, or any condition that ends in “itis.”

There is an interesting connection between inflammation in your joints and inflammation in your gut. To get rid of inflammation, we can’t forget about supporting a healthy gut.

Top foods that cause inflammation:
• Grains
• Alcohol
• Sugar
• Junk foods/ultra-processed foods
• Corn
• Soy
• Seed oils
• A1 milk proteins
• Fiber and functional fiber products
• Plant-protein products

Even beans, legumes, and vegetables can contribute to the problem if you have an inflammatory condition. You may need to try the carnivore diet for a little while.

The root cause of inflammation starts in the gut, and it’s called intestinal permeability or leaky gut. Glutamine, an important amino acid for your colon cells, is essential for this situation.

The best food to fight inflammation is beef, which is very high in glutamine. Glutamine greatly supports the gut and is beneficial for inflammatory conditions.

One of the best anti-inflammatory foods for vegans and vegetarians is cabbage. Cabbage, especially red cabbage, is a great source of glutamine.

Other foods rich in glutamine include:
• Sheep or goat cheese
• Kefir
• Eggs
• Fish
• Bone broth

In Russia, when I completed my master in chemistry and biology many years ago we used to make this soup, Borsh, not sure is the translation is exactly, basically it’s a soup made loaded with read meat, cabbage and onions and topped when serve with kefir and the second most popular dias was staffed cabbage again with red meat and I never had the issues I am having since coming to USA. Going back to my roots. Thank you

I love you, Dr Berg. With your guidance and God. I've healed my body and lost 90lbs. I was almost in a wheelchair and basically almost dead from autoimmune issues and a bartonella infection having a war in my body. I WON!

I started juicing raw cabbage- two glasses a day after watching this video. After only two days, I have already noticed a reduction in inflammation especially when I hit the gym in the morning. I have also noticed an improvement in my stomach since I've been having pain over the last months. This is why I appreciate Dr. Berg. I would never get this type of valuable wellness info from a conventional doctor.

My goodness, All this time I thought beef is bad for arthritis! That is why i have always avoided it. I will definitely try this from now on…
  • @cindyshivy2259
As a beef producer l thank you. We eat our own grass fed beef. I have seen the carnivore diet greatly benefit my adult children. I am a late comer to strictly carnivore but listening to this an encouragement to stay with it.
  • @bryum8898
I was really hoping the surprise #1 food was going to be carrot cake, but beef makes sense. Love these videos. Thanks Doc!
  • @vincevasquez8741
Ive always had stomach issues since i was a child. I developed an autoimmune disease at age 23. Ive always tried to tell my doctors that i think the stomach issues and my joint inflammation are related, because the stomach issues preceded my joint issues, and certain foods make the inflammation worse. None of them have agreed or even listened. Thank you for this.
  • @lizajoseph2346
I suffered for many years of trying different food for my guts. I suffer with acid reflux, food intolerance, and hiatus hernia, and since I have been living in the UK for more than 17 years, some food doesn't agree with me. I have been advised by different doctors with different diets. I am now trying the FODMAP diet and hope that this will work. But after watching this video I have learned a lot on how to heal my problem. Thank you for your help.
  • I took your advice and I am eating beef three times a week. It got rid of my mysterious dizziness that I had for 20 some years. I don't have it anymore!! Not only that, I have so much more energy. Thank you Dr Berg!!
  • @rg975
I’ve been battling crohns and colitis for over half my life, and at age 29 I decided to completely change the way I eat. Low sugar, low carb, high animal fat and protein, good amount of veggies, and of course daily exercise has helped me turn it around. I’ve lost 30 pounds since I started in July and have never felt better. Watching nutritional information from doctors like you have helped me turn my life around. Food and proper nutrition is the best medicine!
