I have to clarify based on some of the negative comments below. My wife and mother-in-law were so nervous they couldn't sit still. They HAD to go upstairs and do something while the game was on... They followed the match upstairs - WHILE they tried to keep busy and not get too upset about it what seemed like an impossible situation. Fortunately it was our day to shine!

That hug between mother and daughter. Those tears of joy. "We've done it". 44 years, still fans. That's football, right there. That's why I love this sport. My team is 108 years old, never won a thing and thousands and thousands of fans fill the stadium every weekend.

I like the reaction of disbelief from the grandma. She is probably the only one in that household that witnessed Manchester City's last championship before this. I also liked grandma's reaction after QPR scored their second goal...she left the room in disgust, with parting words..."that's it....can't even beat 10 men".

Good man watching until the end

The guy and his son were the only ones who stayed to watch...true fans

9 years on and I've just watched this with tears streaming down my face. Only true City fans can understand what that meant to us. It's an emotional rollercoaster watching City, but it was so worth the wait.

Coventry fan here, I still watch this from time to time to remind me of how epic football can still be, sometimes. An unforgettable day, also nice to see Ferguson's purple face all sore and deflated.

I am not a Manchester City fan, but whenever I watch this video, it makes me cry! This is marvellous! What football should always be! Go Napoli!

I have watched many fan videos since that wonderful day in May and I have to say this is my absolute favourite. Rather than show your wife and mother in law in a negative way I think it shows how much they have suffered over the years and the comment of 'ten men' as they left the room was priceless. Typical city. Thanks for sharing this you have made my day!!!

Just love this. So like me. I was sat at home in Croydon when it happened watching with my wife, son and daughter. My son was kicking the furniture in a sulk at 1-2 and walked out. I stuck with it in my cloud of misery. Then ... AGUEEERRRROOOOOOOOO! The room, the house just wasn't big enough. I charged out of the house, City shirt over my head, and ran up the road screaming, my son joining me. My first game was at Maine Road back in 1968, v QPR ironically enough. We won 3-1 then Lee, Young and Bowyer. I have never forgotten that first game and I certainly never forget the Aguero moment! Thank you for this!

Great video, hadnt seen it until today. I could feel your pain and have a tear in my eye just watching your family at the end. I was in the North Stand that day and had a feeling we might still do it. The scenes in the ground will live with me forever. Up the Blues!
