    It's interesting to see videos and books about microwaves and using them for cooking everything in the kitchen, when there are other tools in the kitchen that may be better for each thing. For instance: pot roast is great in an oven or crock pot, breaded chicken would do better in an oven or even air fryer today, stir fry you could cook on stove top, if you're searing meat, this is best done in a pan, etc. The microwave isn't necessarily a time saving machine, because many of these recipes had more extensive prep time than active cooking time. These tips are great if a microwave is your only appliance, such as if you're in a dorm, but if you have a full kitchen, the microwave is just one tool out of many and should be used for its strengths, which is heating up water molecules. Microwaves don't crisp.

    Microwaves didn’t rotate on the inside back then? So you’d have to manually turn the dish, I did not know that

    This looks like more trouble than it's worth, not to mention getting mediocre at best food.
