Good thing I already preordered, I can’t have your parents upset! 😂😂
  • I just love your parents. Your mum’s exhortation was hilarious. I look forward to receiving your book.

For making humous, I love using chana dal. Chana dal is basically chickpeas split in half with their shells removed. These cook from dry in 12 mins in a pressure cooker. This means you can make humous from dried chickpeas in under 15 mins.....I do this all the time. :-)

I was dying with your parents "ad" for your book. OMG, they are the cutest!

In my hummus, instead of tahini, I use: ground almonds and cashews with sesame and olive oil. Gives it more texture and can more easily adjust the amount of sesame taste.

So funny that just this week I was experimenting with how to make chickpeas more fun! 😂 I’ve just been pan frying them with different seasonings and seeing what I like best
  • Buying this awesome book will make my tummy happy, so why not make your adorable parents happy too ? Mustn’t be selfish. Spread the love. 😍❤️🥰😘

Your parents are just great; they seem like so much fun to be around. I already pre-ordered your cookbook maybe a month or so ago, largely because I enjoy trying the fuss-free tasty and healthy cooking tips you share in your YouTube channel and knew I would like to have such a comprehensive reference book featuring your ideas. I know you said if we pre-order, there’s bonus content. But I feel like we just learned what the bonus of pre-ordering is — not incurring the wrath of your mother!! 😅 Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing your cooking ideas here on YouTube. I hope your cookbook is wildly successful!
  • Thanks for this!! My husband hates chickpeas, so now I have some ammunition to change his mind. Congrats on the book Nisha!!
  • Love how you’re so real while prepping, cutting, and preparing these recipes for us.

I just made the hummus following Nisha's guidelines for canned chick peas and it tasted soapy.  It took me a minute or two and a quick google to learn that it was probably from the baking soda when cooking the canned chick peas.   So ... just a heads up.... I suggest a very little bit of baking soda and a very thorough rinsing. To fix the soapy taste I upped the salt and added more lime (one website suggested balancing the baking soda taste with acid).  As suggested by Nisha in a different video I removed the peels from at least half of the chick peas. I got bored so I didn't finish the peeling process LOL Once I adjusted for the soapy taste it still came out pretty darn good and the texture was great. I will be making it again (and again). Thanks
  • THANK YOU - not only for your culinary genius but for also sharing your adorable family with all of us. Truly, your videos tickle my taste buds and my heart. Much love and sincere appreciation for you and your lovely family.

I've been struggling to improve canned chickpeas. Thank you!
  • Your parents are the sweetest! 🥰 they actually made me feeling kind of proud, that I preordered the minute I saw your announcement 😂 I might be a bit weird, I admit ☺️ And to promote for you as well: my 2 most favourite chickpea recipes are actually both from your Mealplan service 🤭 tried the newest one of the actual week yesterday and I‘m already more than hooked! 😍 Thank you so much for all of your hard work and so many delicious recipes! Can’t wait to get that huge book in my hands! Have a lovely weekend 🌻
