When England scraped their way to another Euro final, I could not resist the allure of the magic that was brewing in Berlin, and the chance to embark on another mad adventure in the process. Standing between me and the German capital was over almost 700 miles of tarmac, the English channel and the nation we had just knocked out in the semis, and realistically I had 36 hours to somehow get through it all using nothing but cardboard signs and the three lions on my chest. If I could make it, it would be glorious, but there was potential for disaster...

The Gas Station strategy is definitely the way to do it! One thing I recommend for you is make your sign letters MUCH bigger

All of the drivers were awesome. They have much larger balls than me. Gabriel was such a treat as well. What a good video.

GeoWizard videos are like a warm blanket. They are my happy place, much like the TV show, "The Office." They are just one of those things where if I'm having a bad day, I can come home and rewatch the straight line missions or "how not to travel" missions and somehow be greatly comforted. Thanks, Tom.

As a Canadian, I can't find words for the comradery that football gives to bind the Englishmen together. We love our hockey but it isn't even on the same planet as the spirit in this video. What an adventure!

When I hitchhiked years ago across Europe (7000 km in two weeks on 30 euros!) I found it was really good to ask people at the station as they parked or stopped for gas. You could chat with them a while and they had some time to consider while they went inside to pay and use the facilities, instead of being forced to make a decision on the spot. (Also gives you more time to figure out if you are feeling safe riding with them!)

Gabriel was the highlight of the adventure for me. What an absolutely lovely bloke.

Youtube has been recommending absolute garbage all week and then the magic GeoWizard comes to save the day with another belter of a video. Cheers Tom!

That’s me and my mate getting a photo with Russ, I’ve watched you for ages now I was just a bit pissed and didn’t notice you although you’re in the photos so happy days👍

Straight line missions are cool but I love these types of adventures the most. You talk to a lot of people from all different walks of life and capture that spontaneity of traveling on a budget.
