There’s so many aspects to this battle that make it so much more fucked up. The flavor text, oh god, the flavor text. Normally it’s something like “smells like mustard seed” or “the spiders do a choreographed dance.” For this fight? “The boogiemen stand at the edge.” “The boogiemen prepare their next team attack.” “Harry tries to distract me while Larry looks for an escape route.” “Harry and Larry call to someone ‘behind me.’ I’m not falling for it.” “Smells like fear.” “Like two animals backed into a corner.” “Harry and Larry share desperate looks.”

We need more things like THIS in geno routes. Not "funni and silly character becomes serious and vengenful" but instead "funni and silly character becomes serious and completly and utterly frightened"
  • @Craft-ph5jj
I love how Harry doesn't turn into some powerful boss fight when Larry dies.
  • @Not-Kirbo2
Fun fact undertale Yellow did a similar concept to this fight with Axis, where in genocide you're the one chasing him and trying to kill him to the point where he's forced to defend himself in his boss fight
  • @davidplays7192
Good thing that they didnt let you spare harry after pushing larry or it wouldve been more screwed up
  • @cereiul
The chilling part of this is that it feels eerily real. The way you have to hunt down the victims, compared to set encounters. The solution of PUSHING Larry off instead of the fade-to-dust violence we're used to. The way Harry just falls silent. I remember the realization I had that "I KILLED them." This scene was great at capturing the essence the Ruthless route, for being, well, ruthless.

I am glad standards for fan games is starting to increase past AU Sans fight.
  • @aboogala4678
A comment i read once made a very good point about these 2. In Geno, they stay the same cartoon characters, and this is what gets them killed. Their inherently jokey nature like getting stuck needing to move the piano and forgetting their phone? It all leads to their death. They are comedy characters in a horror movie, and that sealed their fate.

I really love the concept of this battle, that their names are always yellow meaning they don’t want to fight, they just want to live. And man, when you push Larry and only Harry is left alive, the fact he doesn’t even want to be spared anymore it’s heartbreaking, bro’s like: “Just kill me already”, freaking sad.
  • @navyntune8158
This is not the "joke character is actually dangerous" battle, this is the "joke characters fighting for their fucking lives" battle
  • @basedguy.4229
Credits to the musician,it wouldnt have the same vibe without the song
  • @sevemon12
the thing i love the most is to see how dialogues and descriptions change in each route, seeing how in pacifist things are like "a carrot, guess will see" or something like that and then in geno is like "useless" or "waste of time", like in papyrus fight with the "lets get this done over with"
  • Wow, its almost like giving a reason to be attached to a character makes you feel more attached to them...... This wasn't some end-all fight. This was an execution.
  • @TEAM_EA
Imagine if they added an option to flee after pushing larry, it would be so fcked up.
  • @GUST13291
whenever it says EXECUTED on the book, it gives a chill on my spine
  • @marcosandrey5059
The fact this fight is completely optional but we have to do it because we "need to see what happens" is fucked up you need to become an even more souless killing machine i wonder what was going on on charas mind during this whole fight no...that wasnt a fight that was straight up an erradication
  • @pixelcat29
We need more fan games that don’t act like undertale revolves around sans, this and undertale yellow have shown me this and it’s almost like a breath of fresh air.
  • You know things are serious when an F Bomb is dropped not even a second into the video.
