Don't forget the music from Just Cause 3, which always created a great mood. Even today I still listen to the JC3 playlist on Spotify every now and then. Good times..
  • One of my favourite series, too many hours put into just cause 2 over the years ❤😂

JC2 was just so wild, JC3's wingsuit and C4 changes were great, but JC2 was where it was at, it felt ahead of its time for once, you fight ninjas, on a nuclear submarine, on a frozen lake, on top of a mountain, then you grabble onto a pair of nukes and get sent away, i mean, its wild

Just Cause 2 was my favourite, cause of the different locales and areas on offer. Beach front with tourists, hot desert, deep jungle, snowy mountains, sprawling metropolis. Everwhere in JC3 looked similar, it didn't have much in the way of iconic locations There's also a lot of hidden attention to details that are not preset in JC3, that was in JC2, such as seeing Rico sweat in the desert, or having abrasion on his clothes from the jungle. Cars also get more dirtier when they drive off road, and can be cleaned by driving into the water. Rico's clothes get soaked depending on what parts get submerged. Even in rain. When a vehicle spins in the air, you actually hear it whooshing. I didnt like JC3 as much because of the whole liberation thing. One of the objects has glitched and fallen off the map and i cannot liberate the prison. Since the game requires me to destroy key props. This was never patched to this day. I do prefer the old system that JC2 did, where weapon crate, vehicle parts and money were scattered in different settlements, and required you to find them all in that location to get 100% conquered.

I was able to get the platinum trophy for JC2 back in the day. Something special clicked with me in terms of its world. It just felt like an actual place with so much variety and detail. i.e. snow, desert, jungle, city. All perfectly interconnected to each other with plenty of easter eggs as well-- it just felt alive. Up there in the ranks of a rockstar or bethesda open world imo. JC3 had fun gameplay but the environment was essentially just 1 biome and felt like its cities, towns and military bunkers were just randomly placed around with no cohesion which really broke the Immersion. Never felt the need to just go around and explore.
  • Mario Frigo should have his own game - just for stealing cars and getting to his garages. His character was great in JC3
  • I've had Just Cause 3 and 4 for awhile now but never really played them due to having too many games and not enough time to play but now that I do finally have some extra free time I think I'm going to check this series out a bit great video btw
  • For me JC2 was the best, the third seemed like a copy for me, not much new to do. Also I prefer the "water GPU" from JC2 that was innovative and blew my mind at the time

Rarely mentioned is that Just Cause 4 introduced in-vehicle radio stations with decent music, and well acted, sometimes hilarious commercials. Especially those ads for Jóvenes y Bellos. "Gustavo!". I also enjoyed playing around with the new grappling hook mods... once I understood the mechanics of it. Totally agree with your ranking though.

I absolutely agree with your list and would number the games that way. BUT, -Cut JC1 some slack, it was the first game in the series and although it aged poorly it was the humble starter that would lead to the masterpieces that are JC2 and JC3. However, I've never played it personally, so maybe it's worse than it seems, IDK. -That being said, JC4 feels like a JC2 graphics mod. The story and characters are boring (compared to JC3 at least), the map sucks, the Black Hand are annoying enemies to fight, and JC4 dumbed down a shit ton of features for no reason. For example, in JC3 and JC2 vehicles have unlimited ammo. JC4 said screw you and added ammo limits to vehicles. Not to mention they completely replaced the liberation system featured in JC3 and force you to do boring and tedious base missions instead. No wonder it sold poorly. -JC2 is also my second favorite in the series. I loved the over the top action and the map was good too. -JC3 is also my most favorite game in the series. I loved the setting, the liberation, the story was actually good, the gameplay was amazing, destruction the best in the series, and who could forget the introduction with Rico launching rockets off a plane? Not to mention the beautiful color tone of JC3. In my opinion, JC3 was the peak of the series. TLDR: JC3 and JC2 are masterpieces. JC4 is OK but is VERY flawed. And JC1 was the start of it all.

I am very proud to say I have every achievement in all 4 games. One of the only game series that I have done that for. I agree that 2 and 3 are the best. I love them both. So many memories of playing them.

I first played this series 3 years ago i first played 3 and then went back and played 1 and 2 months later of course they were outdated compared But 2 is my 2nd favorite 4 i dropped after the 5th mission it just wasnt as crazy as 3 yea I know 3 wasnt as realistic but it was more fun With 3 u get to blow up more stuff and its tougher and it seems like the areas have more stuft to do its like they put all the resources in 3 I guess they didnt have any motivation to be better then 3 when they did 4
  • @CutestDemon
Honestly my biggest problem wasnt that it got too similar, it was that Rico, a man taking down terrible things was just... too op, this guy was the best because of his talents, then he just gets handed a amazing wingsuit that can take down entire nations, sure i could just avoid the wingsuit, but god it just felt lame when i knew i could be stronger, but more bored :[ Why would i want the best guns, the best artillery, vehicles, allies, etc. When all it takes is just the worlds most expensive (yet easy to obtain) wingsuit and grapple?

I'm a hardcore JC fan clocked more than 1000hrs in JC2. For me based on fun JC2 > JC1 > JC3 > JC4 I put JC1 on 2nd because it's not good on current standard but the time it released it's gud and really enjoyed it. In JC3 and JC4 i don't know if I spend any more than 10hrs. It feels more tedious than fun.
  • My list would probably go as follows: Just Cause 2 > Just Cause 3 > Just Cause 4 > Just Cause 1 (never played 1 though) Personally I didn't even really mind the limited presentation differences from JC3 to JC4, but it was the differences in how you liberated sectors and how it was tied to missions that threw me off so bad I never got halfway through JC4.

I been thorough enjoying open world games, the good ones that is, I recently got a x360 slim for 65$, i remember playing just cause 2, but so vaguely tho now that I'm playin it again nowadays the feel of it gives me a 90s/2000s type action movie vibe, the story is so over the top lol the snowy mountains is a great feel, the whole map is
