From Season 1, Episode 1 'Meet The Bunkers' - It's Edith and Archie Bunker's 22nd wedding anniversary and their daughter Gloria and her husband Mike are planning a surprise Sunday brunch. Edith is pleasantly surprised, however, Archie's "no big deal" attitude leads to a huge argument with his son-in-law on topics ranging from Archie's prejudices, problems with the nation's government and Mike's atheism.

I'm a black woman and this is one of my favorite shows. There was no hiding. It was an open, honest representation. I'm a 90s baby and ,now, everyone hides their true feelings just to remain politically correct.

It's interesting that the social problems they discussed 50 years ago are still being talked about today. "All In The Family" was a show ahead of its time. A real honest to goodness classic.

I'm a Puerto Rican and my family always loved this show. We are all highly educated do we understood the site and the times. Still brings back fond memories of the family coming together. ❤️ Sad that a show like this would never survive in today's social media era.

I was a teenager when my folks used to watch this and now I’m Archie’s age. This is exactly what we need today, for everyone to get over themselves and BE themselves. Norman Lear was a freaking genius.

All in the Family was one of the most progressive, groundbreaking American tv series every made. It seemed a miracle it made it on regular television without getting censored. Norman Lear made people think. I loved every series.

This was the show that revolutionized television. I mean it really blew it up completely. One minute we were watching I Dream of Jeanie and Petticoat Junction and the All In The Family hit the airwaves and television became real. In the next season we received Mary Tyler-Moore, M*A*SH* and Sanford & Son.

The writing, here, is exquisite. And 50 years later, not only has this show not aged in its content, it's as timely as it ever was.

My sleep over at Grandma and Grandpas was awesome.... remember kicking back on the floor... .grandpa was in his recliner... grandma was on the couch. Watched Bunkers, Mash and Jeffersons.. No regrets!
