  • 7:44 The racetrack is at Nürburg, not at Nuremberg (actually Nürnberg). 9:27 Never heard of Dresden? 80 years ago, the Royal Air Force was trying really hard to erase Dresden off the map.
  • Some strategy to be aware in general: 1. unlocking a new country that is not the goal will NOT increase your time limit, so that's pretty useless 2. unlocking a new country will increase your cost to open a new route, so you should have your network substantially established (when financially viable) before unlocking 3. only routes connecting capitals can activate the supersonic plane event, but supersonic plane is only useful when the connecting capitals are some distance apart 4. passengers only take the cheapest route to their destination and doesn't care about how crowded are the airports/routes in their way 5. each route can hold at most 5 airplanes, so you should minimize your transatlantic distance. Even with 5 lv 6 plane from London to DC, they will be all full. Thus, you need multiple entry points into the US/Canada (and you must use Greenland). Also, enter South America through Africa (you don't want to overload this already stressed part of the network), which also means the connection from North to South America should be very nondirect to discourage European passengers to go up then go down

That Nuremberg bait was some high quality bait.

I immediately bought this and played it... and I love it a lot. However, while there's so much I love about this game there's just as much "little things" that frustrates me. Devs, if you're reading comments, here's some suggestions and pain points I had with the game: -I hate the notifications that completely pause the game -Normally that'd be fine, BUT if I'm making changes or creating a route it completely undoes any work I did. -It is not easy to click cities if a lot of flights are going in. IMO, if you click the city the city should take priority over the plane/airpath. Maybe put priority on clicking city over those. -I'd like to be able to click a specific city from shaving selected a flight path. -I found it a lil un-intuitive to navigate the flights - like I'd like to be able to select a city, select a flight, made edits, then click a back button to go back to the city's routes.

The cabin crew during the flight be like: Because of much needed higher capacity, our plane gets upgraded. Please take your luggage and jump to the plane below us. 😂

20:13 " i feel like were the hated country" somebody gonna tell him ?
  • Saying “Copenhagen is on an island?” Like most of the danish population and economy doesn’t also live on “that island”
  • @mjrdainbramage
Yes, the winter Olympics was held in Oslo, in 1952... We did have one in Lillehammer in 1994 though, you may have heard of that as well. 😉
  • @alexbrown242
I love how Matt says "We have ___ quid." when there is a dollar sign right there on the note. 😂

Tips for Fly Corp: (I don't know exact percentages) Airline competitions, you almost never win. I usually avoid those. Always hire lawyers. They almost always win the case.
  • @NomadUniverse
A little tip, make your larger airports hubs, for example I'd have made direct links from Berlin to the other three. Then when you open up a new country link the two hubs and do the same in the new country. Fly larger aircraft out of your hubs and smaller to your hubs.
  • @timposter
15:50 Of course it's Bern, it's the capital city! (We'll ignore the fact that Switzerland does not have an official capital city, but everybody thinks otherwise)
  • @kemot5993
Watching this video is really satisfying, would love to see part 2 or even more to see the whole world covered. Thanks for entertainment Matt!
  • @111elf1
Things you did not know: the Linz airport sign is LNZ, but the local area code for the airports are LOLW and LOLX. LNZ only flies to Mallorca, but there were regular connections to Cuba. 😅
  • Matt, you are thinking of Nurburg with the big race course. Nuremburg has the Norisring, which is not big but a great German race course
  • I'm not the one to normally comment on videos, but I couldn't help it when it was motioned you had never heard of Dresden. Its quite sad that it is almost unknown that Dresden was almost demolished from the Fire Bombing by the US during WW2. I think the best description comes from the book "Slaughter House 5" by Kurt Vonnegut. Although a hard read due to its very upfront note that everything in the book is either real or imagined, the reader must decipher what they believe if fact or fiction. But it absolutely worth the time and effort if you have the opportunity. Additionally, if you are really interested in books that have been banned, this was newly added to the banned books of the Americas in our education system. It feels a bit like the US is trying to cover up their mistakes in WW2, though the government has previously admitted to these fire bombings when declassified in the late 90's/ early 2000's. Outside of that thank you for the great videos. Your plays of City Skylines lead me back to college. My community college has an Architecture program with classes that can lead to civil engineering for a transfer. Still unsure if I will follow the direction of engineering as the science aspect do require intensive ability to understand word related problems to break down into mathematical equations, and I just so happen to be great at math but not reading word problems. However your channel has brought a great deal of interest in the subject for me. So, please keep doing what you do, you are helping to promote other in great interest to learn about civil engineering aspect of the world while making it fun!
