FFDP is a strong supporter of vets and that is why they will always be one of my favorites. 20 year retired disabled vet here.

In a creative writing class I had to take in college we had a day where we could show music videos that told a story, I showed the class this one, four or five people were crying, the rest didn’t say a word. Not many people know how our veterans are suffering
  • If anyone is interested Black Rifle Coffee Company is owned by a Veteran . And hires Veterans. They are in Texas . They also have a foundation that helps Vets get acclimated .
  • @DarkworldHero
the soldiers in this video, the actors are all veterans.
  • I have a five finger death punch shirt that says "you call it demonic because you hear screaming, I call it life saving because I hear the meaning" and that is so true!!! **Edit** Thanks so much for all the likes and reply’s on this comment🖤🖤👍🏼👊🏼🤘🏼
  • When he finds his old buddy and says you saved my life brother....shit gets me everytime

My cousin lost his leg while deployed for Operation Freedom. He lost his battle with depression in 2020. Please remember our veterans now more than ever <3
  • I’m literally just a 16 year old kid. This song touches me. I couldn’t imagine how much it touches you vets. Thank you ALL for your service 🇺🇸

The message in this song is incredible. I also have strong beliefs that People Defending our country should get paid more than people protecting a football

This song hits me so hard! I am a Veteran and i have been homeless. I got lucky and have met a few Vets over the years who helped to pull me out of the darkest days of my life and got me off the streets. I am so thankful to all my brothers and sisters who served. I breaks my heart to know so many of us are still suffering.

My dad served in the navy for 8 years. I’m 25 and there are still things my dad won’t tell me about what happened back there. He’s almost 60 and he only gets 2 hours of sleep at night at most. Any noise at all will wake him up. It makes me wonder if something happened to him back there beyond what he’s told me. I’m about to cry writing this as a grown man because I’ve only ever seen my dad cry once in my whole life. When I was 15 he sat me down to talk about the war, because earlier that day I told him I wanted to join the service. He cried that night. That’s why five finger death punch is and always will be my favorite band.

The part that gets me, that I’ve never seen anyone mention before, is when Jacoby (the black soldier in the video) finds the guy on the street at the end and says to him “YOU SAVED MY LIFE, BROTHER.” Gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Whenever I hear this song, I'm reminded of my uncle. When he finally returned from service, he almost immediately was homeless. His wife took his kids, and all of his possessions, and sold them while he was away. For over a year, we could not physically find him. Then one day my mother found her brother living next to a dumpster in some random ally, and called my grandmother to get me and my brother out there to get him home. He stayed with us for over a year, and I had never seen someone so broken and mentally absent before, it took several months before he spoke more than one word responses to anything. In the end, it got worse before it got better, but he, with lots of love and family support, got back on his feet, eventually found his kids, and got his life back together.
  • Your faces and silence during this video speaks volume. Thank you and Semper Fi
  • I love how my man immediately feels the need to do something to make a difference just by reading that stats of this song. That's a good man right there
  • @matthewseelow

that was my life when i got out of the military. lost my fiance, she took my daughter and moved states. i became homeless no job. but i have been fighting and digging myself out of such a huge hole i allowed ( allowed ptsd and other things control me) to ruin about 5 years of my life. I am still fighting it daily to become the person i know i am and should have been . i have a shit ass truck that gets me to work sometimes and when its not operational im walking to it. . But only thing that matters to me now, is being able to provide for my daughter who i get to see very often. I dont need to eat as long as she is full! Thanks for the reaction! gained a sub!
  • 22 year retired here. I could hear this song a hundred times and it would still get me.

Everybody, next time you see a homeless vet, offer him/her some food, sit down and chat with them and let them know how much you appreciate them.. They deserve recognition for the things they went through. I did and the man broke down and struggled to even say “thank you sir”. I’ll never forget that Vietnam vet and the stories he told me.
