Spare a thought for Marta who won silver for Brazil in her final major tournament. Marta is one of the best women's association football/soccer players ever. Unfortunately, Marta and Brazil ran into winning teams that were in their beastly prime in the USWNT and Germany in the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Congratulations to both teams. Not a great game but both teams had their chances and played their hearts out. Brazil played the U.S. off the pitch in the first half. Not sure how they didn’t score. The U.S. changed tactics in the second half and were the better team. Nicely done by the USWNT!

USA was getting the screws put to them first half. Coach made the necessary adjustments for the team to come back out and win gold 💪🔥🥇

The sun seemed to be a problem. In the first half it was in the US eyes. In the second, Brazile was struggling but half the field was shadow. Overall Brazile had a slight advantage. Great game.
