i actually really liked Nick and Mystic Force as a child but on further viewing, I see your point

i feel kinda bad for the megaforce cast. the writers and producers really screwed them over. not saying they r the best actors but they just got screwed, kinda how the ninja steel people r being screwed and samurai

I stand by it, I've never disliked any Ranger season until the move to Nickelodeon.
  • I always liked Nick, but you made some good points about him. His backstory could have been fleshed out a lot more.

Xander is my favorite ranger of all time; glad he got respect in this episode

I have to say, I had some problems with Tommy until Dino Thunder. Namely the writing surrounding his character: Zeo especially got mired in the Tommy black hole, where most episodes ended up centering on him. My main problem was that his character didn't change all that much from when he had been freed from Rita's control. Dino Thunder fixed this for me, and showed us a more interesting Tommy who'd grown, and was trying to deal with the legacy he left behind - allowing him some room to grow as mentor to three new rangers

Kevin was the most insufferable character (next to mentor ji) in samurai. He immediately treated Antonio like dirt just because he did things differently and had such a huge rod up his anus the whole series. Lauren, Antonio, Emily, and Mia were the only likable characters.

The worst part about Samurai is that Lauren is honestly the best character in the show, and you get a great idea of who she. Her struggle with an isolated life, desire to be friends with the others and understandable nervousness. Why did the best character have to saved for the last six episodes?

A bad ranger to me briefly is just one without any personality, one that fails to make the viewer care about him/her, one without any flaws and doesn't really grow overall.

It's not really the actor. It's what the directors and production give to said actor to work with. I truly wish that they could do such a thing as recreate a season or seasons. And only two per group proves to be a problem. Each new ranger team doesn't get much time to grow or learn. Sure they have mentors, but I think a third, longer season of Megaforce would've changed things for them. If the actors got more say and the production team put forth more effort, then maybe, Megaforce and Super Megaforce would've really been legendary. And not just that season, every season of Power Rangers should at least have three seasons rather than two. #PowerRangers
  • Jayden has the Harry Potter complex where he wants to do things for himself but for no actual reason

I actually really like Nick he’s such a different red ranger that just gravitates next towards me and I relate to him
  • @InkAndPoet
Hands down, I know the red Megaforce ranger is going to be on this list. Wait, ohhhhh, you meant teams of rangers.
  • @thescottishnerd
I like when you mention Leo it was when he ripped off his shirt

I like Joel Rawlings... at the beginning he is the jokester and doesn't take anything seriously... but when the story went on he express genuine concern for Dr. Fairweather and a subtle thing to notice his development and maturity... with his cowboy hat. At the beginning he would wear it constantly, but as the story went on his hat were getting less frequent until the point he stopped wearing it for the last few episodes.

I would've liked for Jayden to have been characterized like Leonardo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, from either the 2003 cartoon or the 2007 animated movie, where he's very rigid and disciplined, but to a fault, where it causes him to clash with his team on several occasions. That to me is justifiable in rehashing as a lesson he constantly needs to learn as opposed to learning how to work together in a team that by nature of the job, you're supposed to work with. With him having been raised and trained so rigidly by himself, it'd be a harder habit to break, that as leader his issue is on HOW they should work together, learning that he needs to be more fluid and understanding and adaptive, less of a hard-ass(kind of like a tame version of Jen in TForce)especially with the outgoing and combative natures of his teammates. He'd see himself as the golden child but instead of worshiping him, his ego causes him to clash with some if not all, of his teammates.
  • I think the Ranger I can't stand the most is Dax. He is just obnoxious, irresponsible, his jokes are atrocious, his personality grates on you like a dull chainsaw, and if I may quote Linkara: "SHUT! UP! DAX!" Troy Burrows, on the other hand... Well, Andrew Gray pretty much said that the only reason he didn't have a character was because he was never given one. Frankly, that's accurate. I don't blame him for it. But yeah, I gotta admit Troy is basically a chunk of wood with no personality whatsoever.

That's reason why i love character of Casey in power rangers jungle fury. His story arch is litterally "From zero to hero" and we saw him grow from little 'cub' as cadet in academy to competent leader who cares about his teammates as family. In his debut episode we saw him as cadet who stand against bully of the academy and he proofed his bravery, but still lack of much skill. Casey even fails with his first morphing to ranger. But he learned from his mistakes and overome his struggles. That's what makes him special in my favorite power rangers.
  • Lucas sadly couldn't get any character development. His sentai counterpart was a racer who was forced to leave his career because he had a terminal disease and was dying all through Timeranger. There's no way that Saban would risk would risk something that dark in a children's show. And even though Time Force is good a lot of it is a point for point copy paste of Timeranger.

Troy was more robot then the robots they were fighting
