my best guess for what the heck happened at 3:40 is: link grabbed on to the wall and by sheer chance immediately slipped on the frame before the swimming animation would start because the wall was wet, disabling hitboxes for a few frames, pushing him barely below the hitbox that would usually start the swimming animation. I don't think this will ever be repeated because it is practically frame perfect, there is a ton of rng involved to have link slip on that particular frame, and there is also a very precise distance from the water that link needs to land for him to slip below the hitbox
