We as a society seem to have lost sight of the fact that men and women are different, in complementary ways. In fact, this has become an almost heretical idea, running headlong into the juggernaut that is modern feminism. How different things would be if we could learn to appreciate those differences rather than deny them, and to and celebrate one another rather than try to force others to conform to our expectations. Excellent podcast, Candice! And I know a couple of people who will be getting gift-copies of Alison's book.

Her hubby saying, “please don’t talk about my wife that way” is so precious 🥹💜💜

36:40 This is exactly what I was missing in my previous gf. I wanted her to have something going on in her life except me. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and this frustrated the hell out of me. When I shared this with her she thought I was expecting her to earn money and we went into an argument. Well, what can a man do if the woman is unwilling or incapable of maturity.

the wanting someone who has something that can fill them up that's not me is something I've been looking for in a women for a long time. I didn't realize that was a thing before watching this. Thanks for the eye opener.
  • Really loved this discussion, I struggle with this a lot. I’ve had to kind of step up my masculine energy not having that male figure in my life and trying to look for a relationship it’s hard to tone that down and step more into my feminine and really let him in. I’m not sure if you’ve already done a topic like this but I’d love to hear more about how to step out of that masculine energy and into your feminine to really let that in and give them the chance to take on that leader role

As a guy, I found this discussion very interesting. Have any of you ever heard a term called “sh!t testing”? That concept made a great deal of sense to me as to why women immasculate/criticize men. I’d love to hear what these 2 women think of that concept.
