Which track monster would it be for you? STO or GT3? 👇
  • I own a 992 GT3K with 6,000M driven so far. My own car is the Komfort model without the half cage (adds weight and rattles) and the 918 fixed carbon buckets (std seats fold forwards to access the luggage void and recline to sleep on a road trip) and I've just driven 2,000M in a friends STO. Thus I feel that I do have something add add to this comparison. The STO is very much a "one trick pony", a track car which is nearly impossible to enjoy in everyday driving. All 911's operative in the triangle between sports cars, GT's and everyday driver. Long term ownership is far cheaper in a 911 than a Lambo. I'm on my 25th 911 in over 45yrs of continuous 911 road and race car ownership. Raced at Le Mans in the late '70's, sports car and hillclimbed too. Still race in Historic. The Lambo remains a poster car and is gorgeous.

I love the spec on the STO. The Italian flags on the front lip and the rear diffuser are a beautiful touch!!
  • How good is Ben Collins as a car reviewer! He seems so natural, so informative and he genuinely knows what he is talking about, especially vehicle dynamics.
  • As a former GT3 owner and current GT3RS owner, I can say the STO is the most exciting car I've ever driven.
  • @ZZPxFTW
comparing the STO to a GT3 before the RS comes out seems a bit odd if we're really talking "flagship track specials" as they are here. I get it, the STO is new and they need content, but it's just not really a comparison to make here. These cars are just too different. That being said, it still is quality content. Amazing cinematography and commentary on each car in a very cool setting.

Sir Stig looks like a GT3 Touring is exactly what you need

Absolutely incredible video guys! So happy to be a part of this project, the cars and the location were spot on! What a great experience! 📽🔥👏
  • Really a piece of QUALITY content! Absolutely a gem.
  • Well done Ben Collins, top review. Hope to see more of you on car channels.
  • @taforth
When you take into account on-track reliability, along with depreciation and maintenance costs, the GT3 becomes a no brainer, as evidence by how many you see in the Nürburgring car park, on pretty much any given day…
  • @pauln0371
I'm with Ben on the Spec of the GT3. Standard spec no Clubsport pack and the Standard comfier Super Sports Seats. Ideal for daily driving.
  • "They Say" Content like this makes SCD membership worth every penny. Well done guy's ... Oh btw I'd take the GT3
  • Stunning cinematography as always, and love seeing Ben here! I think you did a good job showcasing the pluses and minuses of each car. You both keyed in on many of the same points that I noticed when I had these two on track, so I enjoyed seeing them driven on the road instead. Hard to go wrong with either! Cheers.

Ben Collins talking about cars is awesome . He should appear more on these shows .
  • What a work of art it is to have a video of these two cars being driven hard with those backgrounds and editing! 🔥
  • Truly amazing video and shots!! 💯👌 Thank you guys! Enjoyed every second of it 🙌
  • @Superdada
My Gosh, that opening sequence gave me goosebumps. What an incredible edit you guys. Well done.
