If you want to see the past 1000s of years of Chinese history, visit Xi'an. If you want to see the past 100s of years of Chinese history, visit Beijing. If you want to see the past 10s of years of Chinese history, visit Shanghai. And if you want to see the future, visit Shenzhen.

As a Korean born Aussie I experienced the anti China narrative for many many years and gradually developed a sympathy for them when the rest of the country were losing empathy for the Chinese. I see that this process is necessary prior to war and is evil. Good people must see the truth and act. Well done.

You & Alex are so great! Really grateful for ambassadors like the two of you as well as other YouTubers who are spreading the truth about China rather than negative, slanderous propaganda about China. I discovered Cyrus’s channel at a time when all you see on YouTube are negative & slanderous videos about China. It was such a breathe if fresh air & relief to see there are objective & clear headed people, especially more special when they are westerners, who are able to do these videos to show a different side of China that are not just propaganda & slander. I am very thankful for YouTubers & ambassadors of peace like yourselves!! Thank you & forever grateful! Continue this important & very much needed great work!

I lived in rural America for the pandemic. I'll never forgive a huge segment of my fellow Americans for the callous disregard for other people's lives I witnessed during that time.

I've visited China four times and saw different regions. Every time I've visited... I've seen big improvements. I would even be bold enough to say that the major cities in China are now overall cleaner looking than the major cities in the US. For one example, I've visited public parks in Dalian and was amazed at how clean they look. No litter or graffiti anywhere... even the skateboard rink looks clean. And there are lots of people out there enjoying the parks... but seem to have respect for the facilities there. Where I live, public parks are often vandalized and abused. When I return home and tell my co-workers about my travels to China.... they refuse to believe me or the pictures I took. They just want to believe that I was shown around a "fake city" built for showing tourists. The fact that I was walking around these cities unescorted... still won't change their beliefs. No, these people still want to believe that China has "backward smoggy cities, where everyone still rides bicycles and wear grey old clothes because they are all poor and starving". I often hear ignorant statements such as: "The poorest Americans still live better than the average Chinese". The irony is these people never traveled to China or even want to watch these videos. And yet... these folks talk like they are all "China experts'. Very sad... and infuriating at the same time.
  • Honestly, if the majority of the people (especially those in the leadership positions) in the United States are like these two gentlemen, the world would be much better and much more peaceful.

Thank you for giving China a voice it needs. A voice that is objective, without bias and prejudice.
  • So nice to see the joy you guys have in your special walk. I stayed in China right through the pandemic, cared for by so many Chinese friends. Please keep taking the love and the understanding to the world. Thank you both. Dave.

You two guys are heroes who tell the truth against the dominating narrative of the west.
  • @aww7056

  • Cyrus, you do not owe Shanghai anything. Shanghai is pround to be played a big role in your life. Thank you so much for your voice. From a Shanghainess now lived in Toronto longer.

It's great have you back and tell the world the Chinese stories!

This is an awesome video. As a Canadian (originally from Croatia) this opened up my eyes in about China. When I read the Ottawa Citizen, the overwhelming amount of articles in regards to China is negative (propaganda and fear). If I was to do a similar video of downtown Ottawa (like Cyrus did), you would see drug addicts shooting up, people in a hurry, and a very limited amount of smiles on peoples faces. Definitely an eye opening video. Keep it up!
  • Thanks for sharing unbiased messages. Looking forward more from your detailed, thoughtful conversation! Everyone deserves a voice.
  • @Shenzhou.
Chinese: "Welcome to China!" Americans: "Go back to China!"
