This 10-minute indoor walking workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up and increasing strength with exercises that work your legs, glutes, core and upper body. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. This workout is about 1200 steps, more or less depending on your pace.

Join my 81-year-old mom and me as we walk and say yes to next steps to good health. Take her advice: "Don't sit around. Get up and walk!"

Marching or walking in place is the foundation for the workout. The 30-second rounds will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of non-fatal and fatal injuries among seniors.

Be sure to warm up before doing this workout. Do one of our warm up videos:

This might sound weird, but I’m 17 and I feel so good after following along with this video. I was sick for more than 7 months. I used to get little to no movement throughout my whole day and I really appreciate this workout. It’s helping me!

I am a 98 year old lady and many mornings I do your 10 minute exercise to start my day off. Your exercise videos mean much. Keep them coming.
  • @gloriakaufman
please support this video...we seniors with limited mobility really need and appreciate it!

I took my down syndrom bro out of his group home last year to protect him from covid. He has poor balance and we have been doing this for a week now. He is doing very well. He also thinks you are pretty and blows kisses while he is walking. Next week we will tackle another one of your videos to challenge him. Thank you so much for making videos for the forgotten population.
  • I am not yet a senior, but am very obese. I have tried all kinds of walking videos, but they move too fast for my legs. I found this video and it is the only one I have been able to complete. Thank you so much for this video. I look forward to watching and trying the rest of them.
  • I am 81 years, with osteo artritis, and going to physical therapy. I just started watching your video today, 1/8/24. Although I have to stop every 45-60 seconds, I get right back up and go to the end of this video which I will be walking every day. Amazingly, I seem to stand just a bit better, and I can move my legs much better than when I am doing exercises. I have made a promise to myself that I will eventually go through this entire video without having ot rest, and then on to your long videos. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I'm only 45, but the last few years I've let myself go and become very unfit. I just needed an easier start to get back into fitness. I found you and love you guys! ❤

I am a 71 year old man with hernia. The doctor told me to take a walk after every meal, but the weather up here in the cold north is not always good for a walk. But eureka I found your channel and I am now walking along with you for ten minutes after every meal and it feels so great. From my heart I thank you and your mother for your. precious videos. Greetings and all the best from Denmark.

74 year old here who has had numerous injuries to my knees over the past years and today I did 20 minutes walking exercises! Feel shattered but I’m so proud of myself. Thanks guys for your gentle support

I jut discovered this video. It’s perfect for this 86 year old, 288 lb couch potato with afib and lymphedema. I did 1-1/2 minutes yesterday and 3-1/2 minutes today. I also just started doing the rebounder again for 3 minutes in the morning. I’ll add a little more to it as I go along. Thanks so much!!

I am a 99 year old lady who has been exercising with you for years. I love it!

Bless you both for this video. I'm 70 years old and overweight since a super traumatic ankle and leg break, four months in a wheelchair and pity eating. I'm finally losing weight and this particular routine is a great way to get going in the mornings.
  • @TexasGrandma2010
73 here. Have hip issues and overweight. Walking is difficult because of the hip. You popped up on my You Tube feed and I decided to try it because of your mom sitting ing the chair. I'm doing the 10 min for beginner seniors and the 5 min one in the evening. Thank you. I think this is something I can continue.

So glad I found this as there are some days like today that I didn't want to go out for a walk because it was very windy. I live on the top floor of an apartment building so this is perfect for me. I think it's so cool to see a mother and daughter working out together. Thanks!
  • @lr2685
Love that you've included your mum in the class. Shes energetic and it shows the two of you really love each other! Well done!! Looking forward to subsequent videos.
  • I'm a senior with numerous medical issues and I love my walks with you both! I feel much stronger from even a 10 minute walk. Thank you!❤️

I want to thank you. My husband has Alzheimer's Disease and due to inactivity he is developing diabetes. I could not get him to walk with me. For the last week, though, he is willingly doing this video with me. I am grateful for the calming music and your pleasant way of doing this walking video. I tried another video but it was to active and "busy" for him. I look forward to "graduating" to the 20 and 30 minute videos when he is ready. Thank you so much!
  • @karlab9691
I am rehabbing and my doctor told me to get a little bit of exercise every day. This is exactly what I can do and I’m so grateful for the gentleness. The two of you are also adorable! I will be back while I rehab
  • I just found this workout video. You two are an inspiration to me, your mama is amazing. I’m 73 and have been looking for something like this. I have arthritis and this is something I can do without too much pain. I’m now doing these workouts 2 times a day. Thank you both so much!

About 3 months ago I twisted my ankle and damaged all the tendons on the side of my foot. At my age 76, it has taken a long time for the swelling and pain to reduce, and I found I had lost my coordination (I had developed a limp) and strength when I tried to return to my daily walks. Because of the winter weather here in England, I found it impossible to walk regularly. Thank you so much for this, even after a short time I can feel an enormous improvement, my limp has gone and my legs feel stronger.
