In January 2015 I uploaded the original FF9 RECAPitation, however after three and a half years of no issues, Youtube bots suddenly flagged, claimed, and took down the video. I have re-recorded the script, re-edited the video, and uploaded it in HD (so here's hoping it stays up this time). Thank you for your patience with the interruption to my existing production schedule, and please re-share the newer, better-quality version in case you have it linked somewhere.

I really like Kuja. The fact that he saved the party in the end, shows a really neat bit of character development, which, is just what Kuja, as a character was missing. Nice closure.

Man, i was so busy completing those chocobo sidequest I forget how good this story is!! This is the first FF game I beat. A special place in my heart.

Final Fantasy IX still best final fantasy. Sound track, themes, beautiful scenery, the game had it all.

This is a classic Final Fantasy and shows that high fantasy can be relevant to this day. If they are looking for direction for FFXVI this game should serve as a road map!

Great recap! During my 1st play though Necron seemed to come out of nowhere. I remember it felt weird and kind of confusing for Kuja to be the main antagonist for most of the game and then at the very end you fight some other character who was never mentioned throughout the story who seems to just appear out of nowhere... I still feel it would’ve made more sense for Kuja himself to just clearly transform into Necron.. to me at least that way the last boss will have more of a logical connection to the main antagonist of the game.

Final Fantasy IX is my favourite Final Fantasy

Poor Freya :( The Invincible was introduced as the ultimate ship you can get on Final Fantasy III, Garland has the same name as the main antagonist from Final Fantasy who turned into Chaos in the end, The Four Elemental Guardians are shoutouts from the Fiends you fight in FFI and Garnett's first name is Sara, coinciding with the Princess' name in the first game as well. Other locales in IX also seem to coincide with past entries' places like the first game just as well.

Of all the games that I completed, this is the one I'll never forget, I remember playing this when I was 7, it was remarkable, I was all "wow" at it, it's story left an impact to me that I carry until today that I'm 25 years old.

The 11 year old in me says Garnet is Bae.
