Thank you! I have xperia 1 VI. I look forward to the updates that were promised for the fall! I live in Estonia!

That was a refreshing review! Loved the part where you were talking while the shots were changing. The point and shoot parts were very interesting.
  • You should also talk about the creative looks/styles and the use cases for them on the Xperia 1 VI and 10 VI.

Xperia cameras aren't to the taste of most mobile users out there but they are still good for us who are a little more into photography. The 10 VI video looked decent enough and photos seemed to do the job.

I'm guessing that one of the reasons sony phone cameras aren't as good as they could be is that sony is worried it would eat into their regular camera sales, the phones are more inexpensive compared to the full sized cameras because no one would buy a 1500 dollar phone. But the sony mobile division is so small its just difficult for them in general to make good products that sre cheap.

I have seen many cinematic videos lately with both the Sony Xperia mark 6, iPhone 15 pro max, vivo x100 ultra or the S24 ultra, I subscribe because you take very good photographs, You know how to take advantage of the 35mm lens of the Nubia z60 ultra? Both in video and photography, I would like to make cinematic style videos with the device but I don't know much about this topic, it's just my beginning

Good review thank you. How does it compare to the Pixel7a you had? I have a 6a and for point and shoot it is good, but I like the Sony size, weight and headphone jack so tempted to by the Sony.

Love the tone and composition of night shots. I use 10 V, ultrawide is unusable. Unsure if I will stay with 10 series. Thanks for your review.

Hi, Thanks for the review! I have a question, does Sony Xperia 10 VI have a face unlock?

Is it so you could try take the steadyshot off the camera while filming with the main camera 4k 30fps i think it will reduce the flickering of the video when you shoot with it dunno just wanted to see the shots cause im looking for a phone with okay camera but still nice video and as small a phone i can get with a long battery life and also quit sturdy so it doesnt break and i landed on the Xperia 10 vi but from the video perspective at night it seemed quite poor when moving else the video looks fine what purpose my dad needs it

I think I regret getting the 10 V. The default camera app is lacking and the VI has 4k video recording and the better camera app. The only thing the 10 V has going for it is the 2x real physical tele. The 10 VI 2x tele still is weaker than the dedicated sensor even if its tiny and only works in good light.

i expected the camera to be more worse. i tbh kinda like that. i own a s23, the camera is fine but i really dont like the processing of the samsung camera. having a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storages is just very unique these days. thank you for this video! might getting this one or the 5v. the 1 is too big for me

The 6.1" screen is only "small" on paper, though. I think that's important to point out. Because the 10 VI uses that silly useless 21:9 aspect ratio for the screen, what that means is that the 6,1" screen on the Xperia is HARDER to use with one hand than the 6.1" screen on the S23 for example. Because the overall dimensions of the phone change. Where as the S23 is 14,6cm tall, the Xperia 6 VI is 15,5cm tall. That's almost as tall as the S23+ at 15,7cm tall, and that one has a 6.6" screen. Which means I really don't know who the Xperia 10 VI is for. The cameras aren't great and it doesn't even have a Pro mode. So it's absolutely not for fans of photography. The size is enormous and much bigger than other phones on the market with the same 6.1" screen. So it's not for fans of "smaller" oversized phones. The software is stockish garbage, but the long terms support is virtually non-existent. So it's not for fans of stock Android. And considering the price, it's not really for people on a budget either, 'cause it doesn't give you much for your money. Quite honestly, the microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack are the only selling points this phone has. But is that enough to convince people to pick it over the competition? I don't think so. Specially because in the mid-range it's still easier to find phones like the Moto G Stylus or the Galaxy A24, which also have those features. Sony would sell more units of an Xperia 1 VI Compact with a proper sized screen (say, 5.5") than they will of this Xperia 10 VI.
