I’m only 22 seconds in, and seeing Kris bouncing along in a jeep, holding what LOOKS like a shotgun, and smiling with total, legit happiness, hanging with Caleb and the boys… it touches my heart. My hubs and I just moved from Texas to Pennsylvania, and waking up in our new home this morning… we’re smiling EXACTLY the same way. YAY to happy new beginnings. Caleb had a solid point that if you think about is actually a very scary situation if someone ever had to use one of these shit items. Someone will buy one of these things thinking it will protect them and then god forbid they have to use it ever in a situation and it won’t do anything. It’s actually scary that those things are being advertised as home self defense because so many people would fall for it due to their distaste of actual guns, and then either expect it to work to protect their family since it was advertised basically as a home defense system, yet it will just do nothing but fail to protect you and then sadly you’re screwed. Maybe I just am over thinking it but if you advertise it to be a self defense kind of weapon, in my opinion it should be able to stop an attacker in a non lethal way, not just tickle them.

I camp with my kids in rural locations. It's typically just me and them as their father isn't much of a woods person. We also do alot of travel to get to these places. So the kids wear these at the rest areas when they're in different bathrooms etc. We all carry the birdie alarms on our belts camping as bear alarms. They work very well for scaring off predators.
