Architecture architecture have completed a fit-out of one of the Cairo Studio Apartments – an exercise in creating a fully functional abode within a mere 23m2/.
In a studio apartment of such modest dimension, the smallest modifications make a significant difference to the feel and functionality of the space.
Compact robes and clever storage solutions are integrated with a fold-out bed and a handsome full-height curtain, creating the flexibility to quickly convert the single-room space from a study to a bedroom to a dining room or party space.

Is it me or are these videos really therapeutic... so calm, cinematic, and educational

The backyard green space makes this flat look so much more spacious and tranquil.
-
That curtain is soo much more versatile than most transformative dividing walls/panels seen in alot of the other smaller spaces on this channel. Simple yet extremely functional!
-
This is probably the most realistic 'Never too small' apartment you will see on this channel. Love the greenery!
-
The continuous curtain rod going to the window is genius.
-
I don’t think I’ve seen a space use a curtain so effectively. Nice.

„The Apartments are north facing.“ Me: poor him! Doesn’t get any natural light! “So they are getting a lot of great natural light.” Me: Wait what!? Aaaaah it’s in Australia!!

This is one of the best apartments I've seen yet on your channel. It's really functional and feels homey without feeling like a glorified hotel room. I love how he repurposed the kitchen window as a bedside table. And very lucky to have a bathtub in such a small space!
-
It might not be the most artistic/stylish apartment that you've showcased - but it sure feels like one of the most "real" ones that someone is actually living in!
-
I really like how he mentioned that it’s irresponsible to knock down a building to build a new one when you can just renovate it. Repurpose what we have. 🤙
-
This one is my favorite. I like that it feels like a full sized apartment with separated kitchen and bath. I also liked that he kept those elements original. I love that it can be light and airy but can also be darkened. I’m one of those people who likes dark rooms and black out curtains.
-
Wow, once you start moving around your apartment you look like a totally different person!
-
this is probably the only small apartment I've seen that actually feels like home and not just an "interior design gimmick"
-
The flat looks liveable, with knickknacks, books, etc, and still maintains the aura of minimalism, without looking too depersonalized or entirely "clean". I like it!
-
I love that the huge windows basically integrates the nature into the feel of this place. It feels the a portal into another dimension and doesn't make the home look small at all. Incurable curtains too!

I believe that the ability to create a great living space within a 23 square meter area is impressive, but it's important to acknowledge that the quality of the building design plays a significant role. It's not just about the size of the space; factors such as high ceilings, large windows, exterior terraces or small gardens, and a well-planned layout can make a small space feel much larger. I appreciate that in this particular flat, the kitchen is tucked away in a separate room, allowing for a more organized living space. However, maintaining the tidiness of a small living area can be a challenge, as even small items out of place can make the space look cluttered. Overall, I think the design of this space is excellent and showcases the potential of small living areas.

“...repurpose what we’ve already got”. Absolutely spot on - we waste SO much these days. It has to stop. Great visit to a terrific flat!
-
The use of kitchen "window" doubled as a bedside table is waaay too clever, also the curtain that goes all the way to the windows, superior. Great idea. Love this.

This home is like a sanctuary for an individual person to live😄♥️, has everything in just the right amount!

"I live here on my own" me: who is that woman??
