Eagles Likely Signing Justin Simmons? Philly Optimistic with NFL Schedule + Vic Fangio New Changes

After NBC’s Reuben Frank suggested it’s very likely the Eagles pursue adding another Safety for Vic Fangio’s defense, former NFL GM Randy Mueller shared Justin Simmons as a candidate to likely sign with the Eagles. Obviously there’s been talk for a while about Fangio’s former All Pro Safety but one NFL Agent shared an update about his overall value which changes things. Plus the NFL released the regular season schedule with the Birds getting a couple good breaks as well as a few not so favorable outcomes. Also, Saquon Barkley is destined to be the next Giant Killer to help Jalen Hurts bounce back.

I think folks have to consider this as well regarding Simmons.. if we do get lucky and land him for a bargain, think of how much pressure the Eagles can take off of the LB's (who may or may not be better this year) by having a myriad of scheme combinations in the secondary behind them with so much versatility. If it doesn't happen I still think we're in decent shape, but if it does happen-- oh boy oh boy oh boy!
