The fact that she got a STANDING OVATION at a funeral from Etta’s loved ones and family members only proofs that she did her justice. What a voice!!

Etta said she loved this version that's why Christina got invited to sing it at her funeral.
  • She was holding back tears, singing with emotion, in this situation ... She just gave it all.
  • @leonlee6832
Etta prefered Christina over Beyonce. Whitney Houston said Christina is the only one who should cover her songs. Patti Labelle said Christina is the greatest vocalist of our generation, Aretha Franklin said Christina is killin’ it, YOUR opinion is irrelevant bruh.
  • @naayffarias
For those who critize Christina's version, please know that Etta herself loved this same version.

Etta had ALWAYS said Christina should be the only one to sing her song. She did it Justus!

Jesus, had she held the note a second longer and we would have witnessed a resurrection. That was amazing! Etta was probably smiling at this genuinely heartfelt tribute ☺

She sang like church! She sent Etta off in style. She's so little like Etta was when she was young and you could tell Christina genuinely loved Etta. Etta is one of my favorites and Christina did her homegoing justice! Those of you criticizing, must have never been to a Black funeral or a Black Baptist church service.

Christina's version of this song was Etta's favorite. So stop posting hateful comments

1: Christina's version of At Last was Etta James' favorite rendition of her song. So for everyone saying she ruined it,  Etta would have been proud.  2. For everyone who says she sounds awful, I think the standing ovation speaks for itself. Christina put her heart and soul into that performance.  3. Why the HELL are people in this world so negative these days? She's singing at a damn funeral. Keep your false garbage opinions to yourself.
  • There is a reason Whitney Houston said only Christina can cover her.
  • Christina was born with an old soul gift....whatever she sings she just BECOMES the song!!!!! I'm in awe over her gift

Beautiful performance of a FAN at her IDOL's FUNERAL! You people need to learn RESPECT! There's a reason Etta's family called Chrstina to sing it and not Beyonce and it was really really hard to do it. Imagine you in her place: Your beloved diva's body right next to you and you trying to show composture and calm your nerves and not break down.  I feel you Christina. Rest in peace, Etta
  • Ugh, you can hear and see the pain when she sings this. Etta James was her idol and #1 inspiration. Etta James also loved Christina Aguilera and her version of At Last. Imagine having to sing in front of your dead idol's casket... the idol who praised you and loved you.

If you heard christina aguilera's tribute to James Brown in the grammys which was actually hailed one of the most unforgettable grammy moments of all time, you'll understand why she sings this way. She sing the way other rnb soul singer sing and put her own twist to it. And to those saying she's faking it by lowering your larynx, well she has been consistent and sustained that vocal texture I must transformed that faking to an actual skill! She is a soul singer, and she was applauded by many amazing artist and institution in the world as one of the most greatest vocalist of all time. If the time comes she passed away, her name will be remembered and commemorated as a music legend!
  • @Hifirrrr
That’s how you perform for a legend’s tribute
  • @bassalarcon
She sang it in her OWN WAY because she is AMAZING and I'm feeling it. Pure soul, pure talent, this girl is just phenomenal <3
  • @dylansig
I don't think anyone of you is going to teach Miss.Aguilera how to sing during her Idol's funeral ;)
  • @rainedelaze708
The people not appreciating this, are the people who’ve clearly never watched Etta James sing live. She was gritty and emotional and amazing. Just like this performance by Christina.
  • @nickyducky
Christina’s voice is just incredible. What a powerhouse. ♥️
