New subcriber. I drove 10 years OTR and regional before going local. Regional was nice because usually your home on weekends. Local driving you have to drive back and forth from home to work. Good thing about regional is that you don't have to do that. Wake up and drive. If the landing gear is a pain I start cranking in the hi gear then switch to the lower gear. Hate when they crank up the opposite way

God Bless you and enjoy your adventures. You're 1 of the select few that gets paid for traveling and sight seeing. I would always wash my clothes then shower. After put them in the dryer and go eat. After get the clothes out. A wire bound Atlas is best the cheaper ones will tear up

Some advice from one driver to another. Always hook up your air hoses to the clamps to keep dirt and water out of the lines, also, when you are lowering your landing gear, Lower it until you got a half inch to inch gab between the ground and bottom of the sandshoe or landing gear. Then lower your bags. Great video.
  • Landing gear almost took bro out lol. I definitely understand though. Been there. Keep on Truckin driver!

Awesome job on this first video, Currently in the process of getting through the cdl-a permit stuff and doing the airbrake test this coming week. myself. Quick question: How was it with your trainer? Heard a lot of stories both good and bad so just curious how that process went for you :).

I would mount a removable back up camera on the trailer. Very useful especially in truckstops at night. Also get you a tire bat to make sure theirs no flats. Or at least kick them
  • @wanderingfido
Are you finding that other trucks give your parking spot a wide berth? It's like you get some extra parking spots all to yourself. πŸ€”πŸ˜ I'm just teasin' I'm sure you're nothing like your usual coworkers. hee hee hee

As an ex local driver is 90 % backing 10% driving. Make sure that your 5th wheel is down after a drop and hook. I didn't once and gave the trailer 2 huge vampire πŸ§›β€β™‚οΈ bites. Also make sure that that trailer is high enough to back under.
  • That's pretty good but the longest.I drove On A eleven hour clock was seven hundred and twenty five miles
