Important note for the Sorcerer: it was shown in the gameplay that Sorcerers retain their unique ritual casting ability from the first game, allowing Sorcerers in the party to synchronize the incanting of particular spells and fire them off at the same time. So if your pawn is halfway done casting Bolide, you can step up to them and start casting and inherit their progress on it, and the both of you will cast it faster!

For all the people not familiar with vocation switching: if it’s like the last game, then you don’t have to worry about picking any one vocation. They retain their progress when you switch to another one. I played a sorcerer for a good chunk, then discovered the fun of magic archer and played that till I found a magic resistant enemy, then switched to a fighter to beat that enemy. All you have to do is go to a hub that allows switching.

1:04 “Dont play as an archer and expect to pull out a sword” Video immediately shows archer pulling out a greatsword. I know its a warfarer, was just funny.

I was dead set on playing Magick Archer but.. Mystic Spearhand looks just so damn good I'm now torn between them.

PLEASE CONSIDER, the game doesn’t demand you play as 1 vocation, you are free to switch around and acquire universally great augmentations from other vocations whilst trying out their play style! The game becomes much more dynamic when you use different solutions to tackle different problems!

Thank you so much for talking about the class progression and what you unlock when you level up. I've watched a decent amount of Dragon's Dogma 2 videos and not a single one of them has covered this.

Magic in this game looks so cool. But alas i cant resist the allure of being just the normal guy with the indomitable will and strength in a world of crazy supernatural magic

That Sickle like weapon is a Khopesh if I'm not mistaken. At 16:30 if I'm not mistaken the Spearhand's Duospear blades would be considered Khopeshes. From what it sounds like the Warfarer would probably be at its best when all Vocations and their skills are maxed out.

I'm so excited to play Dragons Dogma 2. I am concerned with how fast the time is flying by though feels like the earth has sped up by like 20-40% honestly feels like it was still months away weeks ago. I look forward to watching you play DD2 as well, you are awesome man!

This is the rare kind of game where every class seems to appeal to every person -- they do such a brilliant job of making each class feel unique, powerful, and interesting. It's absurdly hard to choose just one! In DD1, it was so exciting to switch between the classes/start a new save file with a new class, and I imagine the same will be true in DD2. I can't wait to dive into each of them.

I've always loved the Thief/Rogue class in every game. So for sure going that, but fighter is definitely close second. All these classes look incredible honestly.

I'm going fighter to spearhand. Spearhand is a dream vocation for me, I knew I was going that route, as soon as I saw the Dragon's Dogma 2 reveal trailer.

Think im going to start off thief 100% then archer then Mystic spearhand, Magic Archer and then once I level up all those vacations going warfarer so i can use all 3 vocations of the thief/Mystic Spearhand/magic archer, and then have my main pawn a tank, and of course I totally agree with you!! having a class like the mystic spearhand who gives Jedi knight Vibes in a fantasy game just seems EPIC!
