  • When my skin is irritated, it usually just wants to be left alone. Fewer products and less fussing. Even if several layers of a soothing toner sounds good, my skin bristles when I do that. I have to remind myself that the answer to every skin issue isnā€™t always skincareā€”sometimes itā€™s just giving my skin a chance to do its own thing. I still wear sunscreen, so I have to cleanse and moisturize in the evening, and I usually use a moisturizer in the morning too, but when my skin is at its worst, that is the maximum for me.
  • Hi Kelly as someone with rosacea, eczema and hyper sensitive skin I often have irritation, redness and sore/stinging skin. I do use quite a few of the products mentioned including the Niod MG, Bioderma sensibio misceller water, LRP cicaplast (baby version), Avene cicalfate, Laneige cream skin refiner and the Benton sheet mask. My favourite milk/cream cleanser is the Avene antirougours refreshing cleansing milk - works really well and takes all makeup and spf off in a single step, without any detriment to already sore skin. This is the one I use during a bad rosacea flare when everything else burns/stings. I also like the cosrx cica toner for soothing hydration. The Aveeno calm and restore oat serum is a great affordable and really gentle option that's very soothing and hydrating. My other sheet mask of choice is the dear, Klairs soothing sheet mask - it's more moisturising than the Benton version and soothes in a different way. The Benton takes down redness and is hydrating, but doesn't have the moisture of the Klairs version. Depending on how my skin feels is how I decide which to use. I also like either the LRP or Avene mineral water in a can for cooling the skin down, but the Caudalie version has the added benefits of the grape and is also a much loved option. If the irritation is incredibly dry then the paula's choice clinical ultra rich moisturiser is amazing and with a layer of an ointment over the top overnight is the most moisturising thing I have found. Spf is a nightmare during a flare of rosacea and my top pick when everything burns/stings is the paula's choice calm mineral spf30 - it is the only one I have found I can use when my skin is so inflamed. Best wishes.

Iā€™ve already incorporated most of the day to day suggestions you provided but having some masque suggestions is new for me! Thanks Kelly! I have to say that the Vita B5 toner has worked really well for balancing my skin. Thanks for that suggestion as well!
  • This is right on time. My skin is extra sensitive and irritated due to current weather (hot summer days) Iā€™ll be considering to try some of your recos. You always have a great recommendation btw. Always works for my sensitive skin. thanks kell šŸ„°

I love the NIOD Modulating Glucosides! Works so well and I love the smell of it too

'Love at first use' - great informative video!
  • @sirtsupirtsu
I like to use cosrx snail mucin power essence in those times as well. :) And another favorite of mine is Geek and Gorgeous stress less serum.

Applying wash-off masks before the shower is absolutely one of the best things I've learned from you. I enjoyed them but many of them were such a hassle to wash off, so I rarely finished them up - but now I love using them! Many of my holy grail products for irratation are already in the video but another one is and will forever be the Missha Artemisia Treatment Essence. When my skin can't handle *anything*, I will give it a few layers of the essence and it gives me immediate relief. Not gonna lie, though, that decor item on the right at the edge of your desk made me a bit nervous the entire time hahaha.
  • You totally taught me how to repair my skin barrier. Right before I discovered your channel, I just got into skincare and anti-aging products. I went a bit crazy and totally ruined my skin barrier. Burning, dry patches, itching, all things I had never experienced before. Then I stumbled across your channel and realized like, oh wow I really overdid it. Iā€™ve learned so so much from you. Thank you!! Now totally obsessed with Kbeauty and sensitive skincare!
  • @reglyferran7071
Love this chanel! So much appreciated. Would you review the make prem antioxidant serum with idebenone. You made me love this brand with their toner. Thanks šŸ˜Š

Please do a video on travel skincare. Especially how to acclimate to the different whether and atmosphere when we travel across countries. How to calm your skin and all that.
  • The minute I saw the words ā€œcalm the skinā€, I immediately thought of La Roche Posayā€™s Cicaplast Baum B5

Iā€™ve been using Pycnogenol on my skin for decades. Derma e used to have a great line of Pycnogenol products that were excellent for calming my uber sensitive skin. Sadly, they dropped my favorite products and reformulated the ones they kept. I donā€™t recommend the line as it is now. Today, I mix one drop of The Ordinary Pycnogenol serum with a dollop of The Inkey List Q10 serum and one pump of the Pacifica Beauty Vegan Ceramide serum. I apply the mixture before my moisturizing sunscreen, and am very pleased with the results. My skin is calm and happy. Iā€™ve tried so many skincare products to try to calm my skin when itā€™s upset that Iā€™ve wasted a lot of money on things that donā€™t work. So far, what is the most effective for me is the Beauty of Joeson Calming Serum. For cleansing, I like the La Roche-Posay Hydrating Cleanser, the Pacifica Beauty Vegan Ceramide Cleanser, and the Ceramedx Extra Gentle Body Cleanser. To remove makeup and/or water resistant sunscreen, I use either The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser or organic coconut oil. Iā€™m glad that my skin likes coconut oil. Itā€™s an inexpensive makeup remover that beats any balm or oil product Iā€™ve tried. But the squalane cleanser is very effective and gentle, too, and it can be used as a second cleanse unlike coconut oil (for my skin). I recently purchased the Kombucha essence on your suggestion. Iā€™m looking forward to trying it. I have the LRP Cicaplast cream. It helps when my skin is angry, but itā€™s not moisturizing enough on its own for me. Even though itā€™s somewhat occlusive, I use shea butter on top, which seems to work well.
  • This video couldnā€™t have come at a more perfect time! I am currently dealing with an irritated, damaged skin barrier due to an acid peel šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøand everything burns including my SPF!!!
  • @AraG05
Some good tips & sensitive skin product recommendations in the comments too! I am really keen to try that Bioderma wash off mask, but it is not available in New Zealand. šŸ˜¢ Would be good to know of some alternatives!
  • @aliciapaul132
Love your videos Kelly! Could you do a video on hair spf/uv protection sprays/products? Iā€™ve seen some on YesStyle and would love a video!!
