  • A Plague Tale Requiem was one of my favorite games from last year. It had a great voice cast, a great story, and a lot of the time it felt like Aliens with flesh eating rats.

A Plague Tale: Requiem definitely has difficult chapters, I had to grind to get through them😂😂. Improving your gear really helps a lot in the game. I played it on the hardest difficulty to make matters worse, but it was fun like that, it made the survival experience much more challenging, and I managed to finish the game. It's an amazing game, I highly recommend it! I recently covered a whole playlist series of this game on my channel, I really enjoyed playing it! 🔥🔥

Love A Plague Tale: Requiem, but it definitely had some weird difficulty spikes and A Protector's Duty was probably the one that stood out the most to me as well. I tried going about it every which way and I just kept getting spotted and dying because everyone would just be on top of you quickly. Like a few other sections of the game I basically made it through by luck, just managing to get far enough from any enemies when they're chasing me that we're able to get through the door and trigger the next cutscene right before they intercept haha.
  • I agree on the Plague Tale mission. Getting through that was a grind, and I usually play on the easy difficulties...otherwise I get mad and quit 😂

I never really had any issues with requiem but on innocence that final chapter where you are approaching the big chapel and you get rushed by those enemies is super frustrating because you die in one hit. Also that bit with the cart too where Rodrick is pushing it while the spears are getting thrown at you is so frustrating I definitely rage quit a few times on that bit

I actually think the museum level of Sifu was the hardest. It’s sooo long, and if you die a lot in the Club, then good luck taking on the museum.

I'd like to see you try "10 Escort Missions That DON'T Suck." If you can even find that many, of course.

The stealth in Plague Tale: Innocence felt like carefully crafted puzzles. In Requiem, they were more like in open world games: just throw all the mechanics in there and expect the player to figure it out.
  • To me a game is a careful balance of being challenging AND having fun. Too many times I have found developers focusing only on difficulty and forgetting about the game actually having fun. This being said there are certain games I will never touch (literally anything by From Software) because I know for a fact the ratio of frustration to fun would just be overwhelming.

I had a good feeling you would pick Chapter 4 from Plague Tale. That section at the docks is brutal, I just ran to the door and opened it before the guards killed me.

Trying to get the achievement for not getting hit by a zurk in Stray was one of the most infuriating things I've ever tried. There's way too much luck needed. After trying for a half hour, I had to move on and I never bothered to go back.

I personally think the mission "alone" in mw 2 2022 should be up there. That mission was annoyingly difficult depending on how you did it.

Sean in Sifu is actually one of the easier bosses. Kuroki in her 1st phase, however, is a tornado of glass shards; bear traps; and rusty chainsaws.

I saw the thumbnail and thought I knew exactly where we were going with in Plague Tale Requiem. Because for me the hardest part by far was near the end of the game. You have to fight of waves of enemies in a very tight space on a ship. There's almost no move to manuever and your simply dead period of enemies reach you and to top it off archers are constantly firing at you forcing you to make them a priority but you can only fire back when their reloading so the one spot for cover is all you have as guys are coming at you and archers are shooting at you. That part nearly made me quit the game it was so tough!

Final level of Crash Bandicoot 4. Pure torture
  • I know it's not super recent but completing the Path of Pain in Hollow Knight is one of my most proud moments in any game I've played.
  • Totally agree on the mission in DL, i failed that too many times!
