MBTA Commuter Rail on the Newburyport/Rockport Line - November 2023

Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. If you are new here, my channel mostly consists of railroad videography from around the Northeastern USA. Please note that all content that I post is mine and should not be used without my consent. About this video: On my channel, I post monthly videos compiled of clips of MBTA commuter trains on the Newburyport/Rockport Line, the eastern most commuter rail line on the north side of MBTA’s system. The line runs from Boston’s North Station to Beverly, where it then splits and continues on to both Newburyport and Rockport. In the November 2023 edition, clips that appear were filmed in the following towns: Beverly, Manchester, Hamilton, Ipswich, and Newbury, Massachusetts.

Do you live near or on the Newburyport/Rockport because most of your videos are on that line? Just curious, not being mean or anything. Don’t get me wrong I love the Newburyport/Rockport Line because that’s the line which passes by my house, has to be my most favorite line on the commuter rail system. Next is the Haverhill Line.

See 1811 (which is the veterans coach) on my tracker on Train #339 to Lowell stopped at Wedgemere. As of now, there are 4 Rotems up north: 1809, 1811 (veterans), 1822 and 1824. Heard a rumor that new Rotem, 1834 might go north too. I don’t think that’ll happen, the new 1800s that are still coming into service will most likely still stay on the south side.

Have you seen the NS rotems at all yet? 1809 and 1811 (veterans!) have been stalking the N/R line all weekend due to the shutdown.

I rode one of these Boston train locomotives but I don't remember what train number it was.

Nice that she waved at you at 8:09! I've also never seen a female engineer, only males. Was that a friend or did you just know her? I apologize for the weird question.

Just curious, why did you upload a video in February 2024 from November 2023, not being mean or anything?
