Hey guys, today I'm assembling & running a miniature (17.5 cc) OHV engine. With adjustable timing, a proper cooling system, lubrication system and multi ring pistons, this tiny engine is as close as it gets to the real thing.
Turn on captions to follow along with the build.

Engine specs:
-Displacement: 17.5 cc
-Output: 2.5 hp
-RPM range: 1,500 - 8,000 RPM
-Fuel type: gasoline (min. 92 octane)
-Weight: 1.3 kg (46 oz)

Love the sound of the rain and thunder in the background, so relaxing! Also, thanks for adding the captions / subtitles to show the part names.

The most perfectly made video I've ever watched. So many critical operations so clearly shown in so few minutes.

Dude, this is so freaking cool. People throw around the term "satisfying" like it's going out of style but this is about the most satisfying video I've seen in a minute.
  • As an Engineer, I can honestly say that this is a wonderful piece of engineering. Thanks for sharing it.

Fun, cute but impractical. I am currently building a 100cc stationary steam engine. This is equally fun, cute but impractical as well. Obviously a small electric motor with control electronics 2mm thick and the size of a postage stamp would get the job done but there is always fun to be had playing with obsolete or obsolescent technologies.
  • So, this is where vide gripped garage learned how engines work? 👍👍👍

This is absolutely insane! One of those days when I love the internet. You made a great video. You obviously know your stuff, just like you know how to put an engine together. Greetings from Germany.
  • To give education of our machnical students it's really very amazing thing , I appreciate your this effort Thanx lala Pakistani
  • Very cool....The best part was seeing the Feeler gauge! ALWAYS think of my dad when I see one :)
  • Чудово!Просто дивовижна мініатюризація помножена на ідеальне технічне виконання.Таке маленьке інженерне диво...

Wow! RC vehicles would be so much more interesting if we were using real engines like this... Great demo!

Muito muito bom trabalho, maravilhoso trabalho de montagem desse pequeno motor a combustão, parabéns a quem fez e o montou. Maravilhoso.

Beautiful little engine, looked enjoyable to assemble
  • このキットを作ったメーカーもスゴイが、組み立てた主さんもスゲェわ!

Pretty amazing job. The easy part must have been assembly. I can imagine the time involved doing the machine work. Thanks for taking the time to make the Vlog as well.
