When Game Trailers Lie

People seem to forget the major fuckup that was Dying Light 2, the E3 2018 and 2019 gameplay and trailers compared to retail is like comparing two completely different games.

A lot of these aren't pre-rendered they are what's referred to as a vertical slice. It's VERY easy to make a small vertical slice of a game to demonstrate an interactive idea before creating a full game.

It's worth noting, a lot of the graphical stuff in Watchdogs was able to be added back with config file editing. Still a scumbag move though

When I was a child would always get angry at how the trailer for Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Cosmic Destruction promoted the idea of being able to go ultimate form whenever you wanted and even featured gameplay of it only for the final game itself reserving the ultimate form for specific moments so it was heavily limited. Heck, I'm still angry over it lmao. Great video!

Battleborn is by far one of my favorite multi-player games, I played it from launch until they shut it down it was a crying shame. I couldn't even get my gaming friends to play because overwatching had such a huge market hold 😢. Losing it was a real Heartbreakers. RIP Ernest and Ambra you were too beautiful for this world❤

I always take trailers of anything (movies. games, series, etc) with a truck of salt, no matter the source, show me the final product and then we'll see.

Even when I'm really interested in a game, I take their trailers with a grain of salt. It sucks that this is such a common problem with games nowadays.

cyberpunk is the greatest game ever made, it just wasnt finished. I purposely waited a full decade patiently for them to finish everything

Putting Battleborn in here makes legit 0 sense. The game was fantastic and released at the wrong time, and is still to this day the most fun i ever had with a multiplayer game. However why put it in this list? No trailer lied about what was actually in the game, just because the game flopped didnt mean the trailers lie. Its just putting in fluff just to get the video to 10 minutes. The entire video as whole is just fluff with no value or interesting info. I get its hard to start getting big on Youtube, but putting in more effort might actually get you there eventually. As it stands this video could be AI generated and it would maybe even be better.
