165 years ago the only forging was done with hammer and anvil; And when Matthias Klein applied his hammer and anvil to repair a gentleman’s pair of pliers (which lasted longer than the original tool) Klein Tools was born.

Today, Klein Tools forges all of their hand tools at the Elk Grove Village factory just outside of Chicago, IL. Never shying away from a challenge when it comes to implementing new technology, Klein Tools has refined its forging operation into one of the safest and most efficient in North America. And by utilising 100% U.S sourced alloy steel, custom blended to Klein Tools specifications, it’s safe to say no other tool in the world will be made with the same quality and steel as a Klein Tool.

Absolutely love Klein Tools. I worked at CEF in london when they had exclusivity(2014). Unbelievably good quality products. Everything I bought is still working fine. I like the way the little man lines up when the cutters are shut 😂

A lot of pliers have failures in the shears area like the hybrid 8 inches.
