  • Maxima all day everyday. The Altima is just a tool you use. The maxima, you fall in love with
  • @Laptops1781
Only advantage the altima has is the updated infotainment and tech. Other than that, the maxima is better in almost every way
  • i’m glad you did this. Nissan definitely dropped the ball with the Maxima always been a beautiful capable car.

I've owned both an Altima and a Maxima and lemme say, if you can afford it, go with the Maxima. The Altima is a car you use, the Maxima is a car you love. I have an Altima now because of the higher mpg but my issue is the mpg isn't high enough to satisfy the power loss. Maxima averaged almost 30 mpg, Altima averages almost 33 mpg and I'd much rather have the extra umph of the V6 for that gas cost.

The Altima strikes me of more like a commuter/work car. The Maxima is more like a weekend / road trip car. Just my opinion
  • This is like comparing the F22 Raptor to the F35 Lightning 2. It’s night and day. Only reason you pick the Altima is cause you can’t afford the Maxima. If you can afford both no way you go small. The maxima is basically a front wheel drive Infiniti. I’ve had both models. And got a Sentra SV now. After accidents took my maxima out. Maxima would such a joy to drive. The Altima kept me wanting more.
  • Maxima looks have always been revolutionary. Styling stands out. It doesn't blend in with all the other cars on the road. Sad to see it go.
  • The Maxima 100%.... ❤ I hate that Nissan is stopping production of the v6 Maxima. Very disappointing to hear. I have a 2017 Maxima and I am going to buy a new 2023 Maxima.

I had the Altima SR "turbo" amazing mid-size car and the turbo is pissa-fast for that size. Very suprising. But, it's light and great for the older folk or girls. Excellent gas milage is also a huge plus. I also have the Maxima 2023 SR. Sorry, NO comparison, best car I've ever owned, it's fast, hugs the road well, because of it's weight, and quite luxurious! I love driving the Maxima...hope Nissan makes a smart hybrid of both. You can do it Nissan, you can do it! 😉. Great reviews brother!
  • Nice review👍maxima's superior ride quality and handling all day, sorry to see this legendary sedan put out to pasture .😪
  • @zahir612
The Maxima will be missed. But the Altima has been improving over the years
  • @ymmij1973
You got to remember that 3.5 VQ engine in the maxima has been around for a long time and is tried-and-true.

Depends on what you want out of your car, but I'll say this (since I had both cars; '07 Altima SE with 170K miles, now a "16 Maxima SV with 134K miles). I also happen to be a Mechanical Engineer, but you don't need to be one to figure this out: Altima=flimsy (even with the 3.5; it was fast, but not premium-feeling; thinner/lighter-weight components used, esp. in the suspension). I wanted quick and cheap, and that's what I got. But I loved it, and it served its purpose. Maxima-=solid and premium (the way it floats over the road and its bumps with authority); this car pulls like a train; seems faster than the Altima even though they had the same engine (comparing those 2 years). Commands respect on the road. One of the best cars I've had (I'm 56 yrs old, BTW).
  • @biggg7670
Maxima always my friend that car is so underrated.
  • Maxima I've had 3 and love them my wife had the Altima big difference interior quality the Maxima is better put together.
  • Great review. I have a '19 Altima (no-turbo 2.5L) which has been great, but the Maxima still catches my eye. Suggestion, please delete or turn down the volume on the background music. The commercials were a relief from that unnecessary music. Still, a thorough & informative review.
