Porsche 992 Turbo S vs Ferrari 488 Pista

Published 2021-09-26
During the Petrolhead Spring Event I have filmed this Porsche 992 Turbo S. It is racing on the 1/4 mile against a Ferrari 488 Pista, F8 Tributo, 599 HGTE, 1000HP Lamborghini Huracan, M4 Competition and other supercars! Who will be the fastest? I hope you will enjoy the video.

This video should be titled, 992 Turbo S Vs The World

The first clip where the Porsche driver intentionally reversed and probably still won was hillarious....

Porsche is just on another level. And the fact that they keep that not so supercar look, makes it even cooler. The german engineering from Porsche stands out as a masterpiece.

The porsche launches without any drama. Straight ahead like an arrow
  • Best compliment from a writer about the 911 back in 1980..."This thing tracks like it's on a mission from God"

Those Porsche engineers really know what they're doing, don't they?
  • What I find interesting s that the Porsche can launch “full on” time after time, most super cars are 1 launch and let’s get it serviced!

The thing is, a Porsche can do this all day and still drive home with no issues at all. Everything else, 1 or 2 launches and clutches are stuffed.

I've got one in May - I had 7 different types over 35 years. But the 992 Turbo S is a masterpiece, an incredible speedmonster, but extremely safe and it is also possible to drive with 1500rpm through the city traffic. From 0-60mp/h in 2.6, 2.7 sec. And here in Germany it is also possible to speed up to vmax, about 200mph plus. The best Porsche ever in my garage

the Legendary Porshe 992/911 is by far the best bang for the buck sports car. It's so fkin worth every penny.

I hate these Race Videos where there is NOT a Camera at the Finish Line? I mean REALLY????
  • @AT-qx8uz
Porsche eats them all! Even when the other cars got off the line first. Simply an incredible car!

Back in 2005 or 6 I read an article in a mag about one of the then released model of a Porsche (don't remember exactly) but I remember the info it had about the car. The most vivid I remember from the article is introduction of the (VGT) Variable Geometry Twin Turbo system and how it regulates the flow upto a certain RPM where it, 'opens up' fully like Niagra and the launch control helps it slingshot like a bat outta hell!! I loved it!! Love German cars ❤️

Reminds me of the 70s and 80s where nothing could touch the mighty 930. I'd like to drive a 992.
