Southgate's THIRD semi-final in four major tournaments 👏
  • @snbala
Big up Saka, our star boy carried England. Now show respect to his name.

Love the touch of fire in Gareth's resposes here. He dropped the diplomatic mask a little and showed a bit of anger. Nice to know he has that edge to him.

Saka is our main man, a gem and nobody should never forget it!!

Saka is a world class talent. Saka and Kante are the most likeable personalities in football

Big up Southgate. England manager is such a hard job and he's done incredibly well. People will miss him when he's gone, hopefully not since that would mean we got worse, but it will be very hard for anyone to match his achievements so far.

No look Toney that pen was on another level

Shame Gareth doesn't use Facebook as he could get all the managers training needed to win everything by all the professional critics that know Football inside out on there. England won the World Cup in 1966 at home and nothing since. Southgate is the best and most successful manager since then. Everybody (including all the Facebook experts) should get behind the guy as other countries do. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes with all the unnecessary pressure created outside of his job.

The interviewer listing all the teams England have beaten was embarrassing. So condescending to both England and about 12 other footballing nations who have given their all and performed admirably. Shameful journalism.

Lot of respect for this man. The amount of negativity hes recieved and as he articulates there's more to this level of football than most understand. He can just keep trying to build this team into winners and he has shown how much better hes been than any england manager since 1966

Thanks Gareth to you, all your staff, and the team for all the joy you've given us over the last 4 tournaments.Let's hope it's written in the stars for you all to go on and win it,you all deserve it so much, good luck from us all.

I've found England to be infuriating, boring and difficult to watch this tournament but I have to admit I think I see Southgate's point. At this highest level games can be won or lost within any moment and with any change to the dynamic of a game. I would so love to see us charge out and take the game by the scruff of the neck but it just doesn't work like that.
  • Saka is actually a more intentional player than anyone can imagine. The same pattern of goal time and again shows he’s been practicing his own kind of goal. Arteta must be given credit for this boy’s growth.

You can call Southgate boring and pragmatic but that man's a patriot and I respect him for it.
