This is an attempt to explain the App paradigm associated with the HP Prime. It is very similar to the difference between Function mode and 3D mode on the TI-89, or documents on the TI-nSpire. Those who have used the HP38/HP39 series will find apps very familiar.

THIS is the explanation I was looking for. Why can't the manual just provide such a nice, useful overview of the device's general structure?

I get the feeling that owning a Prime is like having a "Beautiful Mind" you carry in your pocket.

This is great! I will post these on the HP Prime Facebook page as well, if you don't mind. :)
  • Could you please elaborate on units? How to store and manipulate unit objects? Thanks.

Sure I can put one together. Give me a day or two.
