Could the CMB solve the enigma that is the Big Bang? 2) What are the current best contenders for what Dark Matter is? 3) Why there may be no aliens! I interviewed Professor Brian Keating.
Brian Keating is an experimental cosmologist and Distinguished professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego. He has written two books, one audio book, and hosts his own podcast. He is also a fellow YouTuber!
Brian's specialty is the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), in particular, he studies the polarization of the CMB. I interviewed him recently where we talked about the fascinating possibility of detecting gravitational waves from the polarization of the CMB. If we can do this, it will give us incredible insights into the earliest moments of the Big Bang revealing some of its mysteries, or perhaps even giving us a clue about its origins!
Brian also talked about the current best ideas about what Dark Matter could really be. And Brian has a surprisingly strong opinion about Aliens.

As always Arvin, great content and very interesting to hear Brian's thoughts on the Cosmos. Now a big question that something that was Taboo that scientists were not game to talk about is does sentient alien life exist outside of our solar system, and that is now shifting to, it's possible! so if the JWST picks up sings of a civilization signatures through chemical analysis of an exoplanet, this could change everything!
