I wish more people post comparisons such as these, rather than talk and preach. The speakers speak for themselves. Great job!
  • Martin Logan just sounds so rich and full. The sound stage that they produce is truly breath taking.

By far, the best speaker comparison video on youtube. If this channel would have continued like this, it could have been BIG! 10+ hands down!

Incredible, three speakers with completely different sound, but at the same time beautiful, each in their own way. I am stunned. I love them all. PS: the quality of your recording is astounding. Your musical choice too.

Amazing video, thanks for your time and efforts put into creating this seamless comparison. I thought the Martin Logan had the most detail and transparency of the three with enough bass. The Sonus sound was thin and lacked definition to my ears. The Maggies were second best, had lots of air but the bass was thin and the mids were little muffled as others commented. Of course you have to be there in person to really evaluate the speaker sounds. Thanks again and I look forward to your future videos.

I love the big, open sound of the Maggies, especially the non-restrictive lower registers:) I wouldn’t be averse to using a little eq if I felt the need to:)
  • @dwalker112
The Logans sound the most realistic in replication of voice.

Great video! Awesome to see such a terrific comparison.

Incredible comparison thank you so much

Martin Logans: Nasal, under a blanket. Sonus Faber: Bright(!) forward. Magnepan: Neutral, majestic- oh man imagine how much better the 3.6 or 3.7i would sound here are you kidding me it's not even a contest.

What a fantastic way to compare speakers! Very well done video!

Good job of level matching and synchronization. Listening with Sennheiser HD800S, the differences are striking. I suspect that if the Magnepans were set up properly that I would choose them based on this video.

One of if not the best side by side. Been curious about Mags vs some Logans. TY
  • Had both maggies and MLs in my living room. Maggies require distance from sidewalls and have a very narrow sweet spot. When ideally placed they produce a massive soundstage...as long as your head is in a vice. MLs have a more conventional soundstage and need less room, but they are more revealing and detailed. Ive found a significant difference in sonic quality between the entry level LRS and higher end maggies.

This was a lot of fun, I listened with my Infinity Gammas and I rate them this way, Sonus-last, Magnepan-second and the Martin Logan the clear winner. Also appreciate the way you did this, no BS and let the sound do the talking.

What an awesome way to compare speakers! Well done!
  • "Very nice" comparo. Thanks for your seamless transitions and the huge amount of effort that went into this. Having owned the ML Sequel 2's for many years when first introduced I have a sweet spot for them and in this comparo they rise to the top followed by the Maggies then Sonus in my op. Good choice in music to highlight as well !
