  • For many years, my best friend was gay. When we would go out he would laugh at me, saying that I might be sexually straight but I was socially gay. When I was with him I felt free to be flamboyant and maybe even a little camp; having fun with it without all the social conventions and judging. I think every one of us would be different, in some way, if we only had the courage to not care what others thought of us. I'm still not gay but I'm 65 now and I really don't care what people think of me. Thank you Andrew RIP.

Imagine that. RuPaul and Stephen have almost the same super hero origin story: just trying to make their mom laugh.
  • RuPaul is amazing, but can I just say...? The band playing James Brown when RuPaul came out was FIRE 🔥🔥

2:14 Ru's laugh after Stephen said "you better work" was adorable. They seem to be a fun person!

It's so easy to catch RuPaul's energy. I know how hard it is to be an introvert in an extrovert world so I'm even more impressed.

The mask part is so true (as well as the drag). Remember when David Jones changed his name to Bowie but was still a nervous performer until he invented a persona to do the talking? Then he couldn't stop.

Blind Tom" is using his blindness as a metaphor to suggest that those who rely on sight alone can be deceived or misled, while he, despite being blind, has a deeper understanding or insight. It's a thought-provoking statement that challenges our assumptions about perception and reality.
