I adopted a Chihuahua. The shelter gave her a chip, spayed her and did all the right things. Thanks, guys! But they didn’t tell us, Ginger had been returned to the shelter 3 times, and so nervous about being abandoned. My husband is a mechanic so was test driving a vehicle. He just scooped her up, put her in the vehicle and drove down the road. Ginger started shaking and threw up. Come to find out, she thought he was taking her back to the pound. Now we know. We put her in and harness her up and talk excitedly about where we’re going and what she will get to do. Lots of love! 💖

We adopted a dog from a place that had a whole large litter in one small run. They warned us that she always would escape. They told us to keep her locked up. When we got her home we thought we had made a mistake. She was going crazy in the crate. We live on a farm so we decided that we had to let her go and let the chips fall where they may. We had her for 12 years. She never left our farm on her own once. She was one of the best dogs we have ever had.

I adopted a 5 year old Cane Corso female, and the shelter wanted to reinforce to me that I would have to pay to return her, she was returned twice.....and it ended there. I've had her for 3.5 years now - and she is the BEST most beautiful dog ever. I took her to a trainer because she weighed more than me.....but I am the alpha, and she is the BABY!! Adopt don't shop!!!!

We adopted a rescue cat. Spent a week with him in a small bathroom with me, bonding, building trust and letting his stress and anxiety subside. It took a week before he stepped out of that room. Within 3 weeks he owns the house. A very loving outgoing independent love bug. We adore him. ❤❤❤

Whoever adopted him obviously dont understand dogs. Put him in a crate and left him alone basically day one!? that is honestly disgusting. I do hope his other home is treating him well, you can see he has a lot of love to give <3

Aww, Logans eyes looked filled with tears. What a gentle giant.

I cried when they wanted Logan. I sure hope they didn’t bring him back and he’s happy. Love all these babies. Thank y’all for all you do ❤

Cane Corso’s are incredibly protective of their families once they settle in. Those kids will have the ultimate protector.

Logan’s story made me 😢 he looked so heartbroken and ashamed after having been returned. Most people really don’t deserve these fur-angels. I’m glad in the end he found a home. Praying they give him the love, respect, and care he deserves.

Rocky, I have to tell ya... this episode made me cry. I could feel the pain that that big, beautiful puppy was enduring after being returned to the shelter. All he wanted was love.. to love & to be loved. I cried because he was given back (like he wasn't able to know someone ELSE didn't want him) and I cried even more when he was adopted by that family. I pray they love that big boy with everything they have cuz I know he's gonna be giving them even more than that. Thank you for all you do.

Rocky, there will be a special place in heaven for you, along with all the wonderful fur babies you've helped. Bless you for all you do for these beautiful creatures!

3 years ago I went to my local shelter to shop for a dog. I was introduced to a 6 yr old pittie mix that nobody wanted. We were placed in a room so we can get to know each other. She was all over me like a cheap suit when the lady from the shelter came into the room to see how we were doing. Abby did not leave my side, she was asking me in the best way she knew for me to take her home with me. She's been with me since that first meeting. I believe she picked me. In the 3 years we've been together, she has never done anything wrong in the house and when she thinks she has, she apologizes in the cutest ways. Abby is my 4th shelter dog and every one of them have been sweethearts. Abby is now in training to get her certificate to be able to visit nursing homes and children's hospitals.

I’m my pupper’s 3rd home, so it took a while for him to get used to me. Jacks first smile didn’t happen until year 2, didn’t jump up on my couch or bed without permission until 9 months, couldn’t be alone without crying until year 1. This is Jack’s last home. ❤️
  • I rescued two pit bull, Sharpae, and Dachsund. They were under 2 weeks old and didn't even have their eyes open good. They both had Parvo and one had an ulcer on her eye. But they were so bonded. I got them up to the point that they were healthy and ready for adoption and they would scream when seperated. I tried to explain that they were so bonded that they spit in their crate with their laws around each other but the rescue facility said they don't adopt siblings out together because it causes behavior problems. Well, it wasn't a foster fail, it was an adopt success. They are both with me, a little over a year old and happy, healthy, and very interactive. I'm so happy to have them with my other 2 rescue dogs who are chihuahua mixes. We make a great pack and a loving family.

My girl is a sweet pittie. She was returned so many times. They left her kennel open thinking we would return her too. It was work but turned out she had bad allegries. now she is thriving. She has been part of us for 2 years.
