The Best of Santana Full Album 1998

I have been listening to his music for 50 years and I have come to the conclusion that Carlos Santana is not only a great Mexican and American musician who has pioneered an innovative fusion of rock and Latin American music. In my opinion Carlos is an exceptional person: he has an extraordinary talent for creativity and self-expression, like many other famous writers, poets, actors, singers and musicians. He is positive, vital, optimistic and passionate. I feel that the warm and vital energy that he transmits with his music is born within him and is heated in the universe to give serenity and joy to those who listen to it. Heartfelt thanks Carlos

I first heard of Santana when he came to Ghana in 1971 for our Soul to Soul festival. I was a barely a teenager at the time. I have loved his music since. A truly gifted musician he is.

I have loved Santana since I was 10 years old. That's a long time. Nothing ever gets old.

The first Santana album in my music collection, CARLOS SANTANA AND BUDDY MILES LIVE, I didn’t even buy. Back in 1974, my best friend in HS lent it to me and I loved it so much somehow I ended up keeping it. It wasn’t done on purpose, I just kept listening to it and he never asked for it even though we used to hang out together all the time. I may have mentioned to him once or twice since music and girls were the two subjects we mostly talked about but he just ignored what I had said. In 1980 I moved to NYC and lost contact with him. Sadly I found out a couple of yrs ago he had passed, victim of HIV, and so Santana's music will forever remain the link between my good friend and I. May you RIP Walter.

I have also been following Carlos & his band for 50 years, having been to all of his concerts in Pittsburgh & Connecticut since then. My dearly departed mother was also a fan....one time I took her to a concert when she was in her 70's....in the pouring rain at an outdoor venue. She loved it & told me "she would remember that for as long as she has a memory." I share that same statement. Carlos is beyond talented in terms of his music, his spirituality, his compassion for others, and the living of his life in general. Our world is a better place because of him. I thank him as well. I feel so fortunate to have been able to enjoy his music for all these years. Keep it up, Carlos....for you are LOVED!

Wow! I'm so glad to spend the rest of my evening, listening to Santa! I was in the Marines in 71. When we weren't on patrol, this is the music we listened to. 😊

I dreamed of seeing Carlos Santana, on stage, and the dream came true. I saw him play twice in Paris-Bercy, a very beautiful scene, gigantic, at the height of this talented artist ... I remember that day, there was a beautiful sun. we were very excited, my friend and I, at the idea of seeing this great Artist, I also remembered the happy days in my native country, on the edge of the mediterranean, where with my friends, we met to listen to the good music , we were carefree, peaceful, everything was beautiful ... I have listened to his music for 40 years, and I'm sure of one thing is that I will never get tired of it. I agree with you Blitz Kaizen, Carlos Santana is absolutely exceptional.

I got to see Carlos Santana 3 times at the stadium in the 80's at the Chicago Stadium downtown. He is truly a great guitarist.I too have been listening to Santana for over 50 years. Truly fantastic experience!!
