I legitimately called my bank and got a person with an accent from India. Even though it was my bank, I hung up. These scammers are ruining the reputation of an entire country.

I remember IRS calling me 14 years ago. They said I owed them thousands but because my social security number was to be kept secret so they couldn't give it to me but that I needed to tell them so they could process it. I was such an outlaw lol. They gave up after 6 months. Still waiting for cops to arrest me because they were on their way 14 years ago. Guess they forgot.

Your friend is very VERY brave for actually going to the call centre. Given the fact that phone scams rake in multi Millions of dollars every year, if not Billions, there is almost certainly a great level of danger involved. I really appreciate your work, NanoBaiter, you guys keep safe and be well.
