I’m loving this game. I especially appreciate the fact that weapons don’t break.
  • "Breath of the Wild" type games are gonna become their own subgenre
  • This game has literally everythinh I'm looking for when deciding to buy a game: - Open World - Button Spam combat where you can flee - Mounts <3 - Flying - Climbing - Diving/Swimming - Different landscapes

I don’t understand people’s logic in “it looks like [game], so I won’t buy it.” Like, if you enjoyed that game, why not play a game that is very similar. If you enjoyed one, you should enjoy the other.

Ubisoft names their game gods and monsters Monster energy drink: I smell opportunity

I played both breath of the wild and this game, and the thing that really makes me prefer this game over botw is its equipment and ability system. Every piece of equipment you find in the world is unique, and the ability to change the appearance of your equipment without changing their abilities is amazing.

Fun fact: the bears in this game and in AC Oddissey have the same attack sequence.
  • I'm not really a fan of Ubi, but I picked this one up yesterday and I'm having a blast. Definitely recommend it.

Personally I love this game, I did not realize the similarity to BotW immediately, but I during the first 4 hours of the game. I would say it incorporates the vaults into the game better than Zelda's shrines because they contribute to the story of the game. The narrations make the vaults less boring too, and some of the vaults require certain abilities. Overall it is a well-rounded game for certain.

When I saw the main character face, I just saw Elijah Wood fighting cyclops

Came back to rewatch this after buying it a few days ago and I agree with every single point you made. This game is severely underrated.
  • Love your channel and had to come to the comments about this game. You’re spot on with your review to buy. I was raised on Zelda. Ocarina defined my middle school years. This has major breath vibes but what makes me forever love this game is that it’s the first one my 4 y.o. daughter picked up and she’s blown away. She grabs me every so often to help her with the “tough” guys and her jaw drops when I blow them away. The colors and the flying along with climbing gets her so excited and I have to praise this game. It gets me excited. This is a parenting nirvana seeing my kid vibe hard on a game where I’ve been a gamer since 1989. I always wondered if she’d like gaming and now she’s all in because of this one. We even started a Twitch to record and talk with others (managed 100% by me obviously). This is not my fav game but it’s our fav game and that makes it so much better.
