I can't speak for everyone, but I change out my decor with the seasons. Big furniture purchases I only change out as needed. (If it breaks, or is messed up beyond repair). But, I also tend to repair/DIY things as much as possible. I like to change things quite often. I clean every single day, but deep clean once a month. I don't have small children, so I don't have as much to be done.

When I brought my daughter home from the hospital (54 years ago!), I was so scared by the fact that she was totally dependent on me. I worried if I’d be able to keep her alive. (My mother died during my pregnancy) Finally, I told myself, “Shirley, you’ve been to college! Cave women kept their babies alive!” We both survived, as did my son two years later. Hi, Michelle! I've been caretaking for gma (95 w/dementia) by myself and clearing out her hoarding house for an exhausting 3+ years of my life. I went from being a minimalist living in a very clean & clutter-free home, to a giant hoarding house with 70+ years of vintage "treasure" & crap to sort. PACKED TO THE GILLS. I feel like a wilted flower. (esp because I haven't had a break, morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, etc to myself for the entire 3yrs) Now that her house is EMPTY and I've finally gotten some help (my mother moved in!) I can focus more on my little ADU we built in her yard. We finished 6 months ago yet I haven't had time to deep clean or organize ANY of my enclosed spaces!! Spending sooo much of my physical and emotional energy on my dementia patient AND her home--then suddenly having time on my hands...I've kinda forgotten how I used to live and what I used to like to do. I forgot how much I actually love cleaning/organizing my spaces. This channel is really nice for motivation not only to care for myself again- but also my sanctuary! recommendations

I just finished doing my bedroom now I have moved on to doing my backyard there is a stall to it because of the shed and an unacceptable amount of trash that needs to go to the tip, and your daughter trying to help was just so adorable this home has turned out sensationally!!!!

Do their baths a little earlier and use Epsom salts with lavender in it. And pour warm water over their backs. Hopefully that will help them to relax. Spray lavender on the pillow cases. Then read a couple of stories and maybe a couple of songs. This helped me with the kids. I hope it works for you

Your laundry room turned out great and I love the tiles that’s almost the exact tile that we’re putting down in our bathroom!!!! Lol

Please take my advice, if you're going to remedy your laundry room and do all this wonderful work especially put in new flooring please upgrade your rubber water hoses to the washing machine to stainless steel hoses! They are far more durable not much more expensive and less likely to ever leak. Same goes for bathroom renovations. ❤

I think what you do to make room for the new babyboy is great. The girls Will love this shared room for several years. When I was expecting my third child .. my second child who was a 4 year old boy at the time had to share a room with his two year older sister …he swore to move out if the new baby wasn’t a boy. It turned out the be a girl!! So he embraced being the brother and caring fir his two sisters. He was less thrilled to share room with my fourth child… who was a boy. !😅they turned out to be best buddies as well.
