Sorcerland is a fun little game about a trio of crossdressing animals fighting robots that are attempting to take over the world. I bought this game several years ago, when the developer was still active, but he hasn't updated since 2014. I'm kind of worried this game will be abandonware, though it pretty much is by now.

We come to a finish for the series in this world. The highest difficulty spike yet as well, with new black variants of enemies that hit much harder than their previous grey, blue, and red variants. We also see some new enemies, thankfully not that many of each. The first level dropped a surprise boss battle on us, and oh boy was that not easy. The boss didn't give me a chance to surrender and switch to another character! After losing a bunch of lives, and buying a bunch more, we set out on the final journey, culminating into a seriously well made boss fight. I regret not doing it with the right character in the end, but I can't play Machina as well as the others. The final boss leads to a pretty harsh ending for the opponent, and it weighs down on Machina pretty hard. After the dialogue shows us the fateful "つづく", or "To Be Continued", I go and unlock Machina's final ability, which isn't really that good.

This is the final episode I can make with the current demo, as it hasn't been updated since November 29 2014. I still hold that faint glimmer of hope that the developer surprises everyone with a return, but who knows at this point. Luckily, a great person on Twitter is translating all of the game text. Looking at what he said, he may just release a PDF with translated game text rather than editing all of the info into the game. Sorcerland was made with a now-discontinued program, "Action Game Maker", and uses .ACTBIN files which are proprietary to the program. Hex editing is a possibility, but there's over 350 lines of text; that's a daunting task for one guy doing this for fun!

Unless something happens, such as an English translation that can be played or a surprise update to the game, consider the series finished. It pains me to say that, but what can I do other than hope, right?

Until then, see you in the next game I decide to upload!
