Great video. Should be a good year with tram extensions with Blackpool, the West Midlands and Edinburgh
-
A video about a new tramway opening is a refreshing change from all those videos about lines that have closed! Thanks for uploading.
-
Very interesting - any improvement to tram networks, however small, is great news.
-
Blackpool Council have also said they expect this to be delayed until further notice
-
You are right about it being modest. Imagine restoring the network further inland, the future is public transit not cars.
-
Tunnel under ribble link to southport Great update looking forward Plus tramtown expansion
-
Very interesting and informative video. like most infrastructure projects in the UK, Its late! 2 months past the estimated completion date and it still isn't finished. I can see how the tram extension would be useful, I could get straight of my train from Halifax, Jump on a tram and be straight on the promenade!
-
Fully integrated public transport in Blackpool.
-
After a delay of 4 years ,it had nothing to do with the building of the old Building of WILKO or Wilkinson in the way ,as you say later the contractors had made mistakes towards North Station resulting in having to relay the tarmac allegedly!!!
-
Have you considered doing a video on the potential redevelopment of the two Blackpool lines into one continuous metro system or something similar? It seems like such a missed opportunity, especially with the airport being on the under-serviced of the two lines.
-
And COVID slowed down building work of the holiday inn
-
Is there any sound case for a southern extension from Starr Gate towards Lytham & the airport?
-
Is the Blackpool system going to split into two lines both operating out of the new terminus at the railway station? A line that heads North from the station and another than heads South? Or will there be a third service operating North to South without going into the station?
-
The new tram tracks towards Blackpool North station should be completed before the end of this year I think.
-
Any idea when this station will officially be opening?
-
£38333,34 per meter...

As far as I'm aware, we are not using kilometres in England - yet. This line (if it ever opens - remember the graft scandal about the rails having to be re-laid due to sub-standard materials being used?) will cause even more traffic problems in the area and probably put a load of taxi-drivers out of work.
