The Redemption Challenge is here. Every eliminated artist will compete in one final challenge for a chance in the spot of the finale. Each artist has had an incredible journey on this show, and in this challenge they are tasked to paint their redemption on their canvas. And to help with judging, past contestants from previous seasons of The Outstanding Artist were enlisted to give their expertise to help decide who will be the redeemed artist and earn a chance at becoming the Outstanding Artist!

  • I would've loved to see each painting myself. It's a shame they dont somehow do that for us...
  • @samadams4617
If I was a contestant, I would definitely use ear plugs to drown out the MC and concentrate.

I came across Milan Art on YouTube and I have flowed this series and watched your individual casts. I am about to mention a critique in a positive way. All the judges and the judges you brought in for the redemption challenge in this episode are connected either through your family or your courses and competitions. I would ask that if you are going to judge these artists bring in people that are seperate from your teachings that bring their expertise to the table as well. I understand what you are doing, in this stage of your business going global as you are, you need other experts now to further credibility, otherwise it's just what you think and I insular.

I am disappointed we couldn’t see all the paintings when they were finished. We only saw a glimpse of a few of them. Such a disappointment
  • Again, poor editing in that the work of the artist wasn’t shown each time you interviewed them. And there was no showing of the works at the end. Just a bunch of judges standing in the way. There should be a detailed opportunity to look at each work-after all this is what the show is about. Throughout the episodes, when the artists were called up for potential elimination, the piece of each artist should be shown with the artist.
  • finally they get shelter - seeing them fry in the sun and bake under small strands of shade was hard to watch!

Wow. That really felt like redemption. Such beautiful art, great show production, meaningful insights by judges. What a great show!
  • I would have chosen Tanya Johnston as the winner, as her piece was not only very well done, her white on white technique is super hard to pull off and her painting was spiritual, conveyed a sense of becoming more than she was before. Very much redemption to me.

Please just let the girl's paint! I couldn't paint with that distraction. Unless I had earplugs or Music to drown it out.
  • Listening to all of these women share their story it is clear that they have all won some big challenges within themselves that they will take forward into their lives. To me this is the biggest win of them all. Art is subjective, and we are drawn to paintings that appeal to our own inner story. While the judges made their choice, from the beginning Tanya Johnson's painting really drew me in powerfully, and I also loved Naomi's. Either one I would hang in my own home. Each work was powerful in its own way, and it has been an interesting process seeing each artist's journey and hear about their evolution. This competition took place a couple of years ago, and I am sure that what they learned has moved forward with them and impacted their lives. Looking forward to the finale!

I love the extra judges. That was the only bit that really made me struggle with the show. I think this show could really be lifted up by having one judge for each theme who is maybe specialised in the field at hand?
  • This was so nice! I really loved all the interviews and that they all had another chance to be in the final.

    All the paintings look beautiful!

congrats to nicolette!! her painting was beautiful! i’m so excited to see the final three paintings. i know there have been a lot of comments with feedback regarding this season (which might just be because the audience has expanded via youtube) but i thought i would share a few thoughts. i have watched the first two seasons of the outstanding artist multiple times and absolutely loved them! i thought season 2 was a great progression from season 1. this season i have seen many great paintings and really like all of the contestants. however, i don’t feel like i’ve gotten a feel for their personalities in the same way i did in previous seasons. i also wish there were more close ups on the art throughout the painting process, explanations of the choices the artists are making, struggles they’re having, and so on. having this season in greece led to amazing views and places to paint, but i do think in doing so this led to this season feeling less personal. also, while i understand that it is a competition and you want to push the artists out of their comfort zones, i think having each session outside in the elements did not allow the art to shine as it should or for the artists to create their best work. in this redemption challenge episode when everyone came back there were so many i barely knew, whereas in season 2 having everyone involved in mini challenges each week allowed me to become invested in everyone’s art journey even if they weren’t still in the competition. this was only shown further when you had previous contestants show up as judges and i was so excited to see them! i really felt like i got to know everyone and was excited to follow along on their painting journeys after the previous seasons ended, in a way i don’t feel quite as strongly this time around - even though i do like the women and think they have made beautiful work. the lack of investment i feel may also be because the previous seasons were longer and there were more challenges and more time to get to know everyone. i understand that that may not be possible and you had to scale down in episodes in order to scale up in production. but i would love to see a happy medium - bringing back the mini challenges perhaps. i enjoyed those so much previously. i hope this is taken as constructive because i did enjoy this season and i hope to see many more seasons in the future. :)
  • @azmgbbb
Her painting was absolutely beautiful ❤
  • aaah I loved to see them all again! such amount of art and spectacular artists
  • Why don't you show all the paintings with critiques.? Very disappointing!!!
  • @azmgbbb
I would have lost the first challenge and gone out on my own and painted that beautiful country. Who cares about the competition. That’s a once in a lifetime chance to be there.
