Eye Color: Abstract

This is an abstract painting of the mind's eye. I have blue eyes with a rack of other colors swirling around in there and that was the inspiration for the center of this piece.

Editors Note: In this video you'll see me explore two very different options of finishing this piece. The first, was placing a mirror inside the eye's pupil so if you looked into the eye, it looked right back at you. Quickly realizing that wasn't going to work. It's evident I'm not loving the look and freeze frame that stankface for your enjoyment. The second attempt was a mosaic piece in the pupil. That ended up looking like an old lady’s doily. Scrapped that one too. Left the process for both in the video to demonstrate the fact that it's ok to try things and if you don't like it... you can change it (if possible) back. I do it all the time.
